As the Kabutops looked at the approaching trainer remove his pokeball, the beast stood up with blades still lowered in respect. As the human reached out his arm the Kabutops stared down at the device, it glanced one last time at its opponent and nodded to them both before gently placing its face into the center of the pokeball.
A bright flash of red light replaced the prehistoric pokemon. There was a brief silence before Rioto interrupted it with extra kudos. "Great catch, that was an earned one for sure." The roller-bladed young adult said.
"Should we get back to your friend now?" Wondered Rioto.

Robin
I looked at the ball and smiled. “Thanks Sceptile, you were great.” The grass Pokémon nodded, he could stay out for now.
“Yes, we should get back to the plane, don’t want to be too long. Besides it’s getting rather late, we don’t know what else is out here.” It was interesting meeting Rioto again after all this time. I walked over to him on the way back.
“Tell me, where did you find that Shaymin?”

Rioto smiled as they began off towards where Lily had disappeared. As Robin spoke to him he looked up at the grass-type sitting on his head. "Oh, Shaymin?" He responded to his old friend. "Found this little goofball out in Sinnoh some time ago-" He began speaking.
"We got a call about an emergency involving a few different Heatran scattered around the region." He went on. "Sure enough, on one of the last islands we visited; Shaymin was getting bullied by one of the Heatran we were trying to relocate."
Rioto lifted his hand to Shaymin as he finished his story. "We've been inseparable ever since." Shaymin high-fived Rioto in response.
Before too long the group regathered back at Riley's plane...
Riley was resting in a sleeping bag, head resting on Lily's lap. As the two men rejoined the girl and everyone else she looked up. "Good, you're here." She said. "Riley seems fine, but he's been out cold since the volcano."
Rioto nodded at the group and approached the downed pilot. He placed the back of his hand on the young man'd forehead before speaking. "Being out in the middle of nowhere, I'd say our best bet is to let this guy sleep." He said to everyone.

Robin
I smiled up at the Shaymin, it was a nice story for sure. It was very rare to meet such a creature but Rioto seemed to be in the legendary line of work and that allowed him the opportunity to see them more than most.
Carl nodded to us as we approached, he was standing guard on the other side of camp. Now that Lilly has returned he didn’t need to watch Riley as much.
“If only we had Harry here,” I muttered to myself thinking of my doctor friend. It had been a while since we had last spoke but he would come in handy in a time like this. We had to make do with what we had.
“That’s true,” I said to Rioto. “Honestly a few of us need some rest. It’s been an eventful day and I wager tomorrow will be as well.”

(Sorry, birthday and an old friend died in training. I have returned.) (Just gonna jump to morning.)
The sun settled peacefully onto the clearing serving as makeshift landing pad. The night was uneventful, no violent tremors or suspicious roaring. Lily slept on her knees leaning against a turned-over log, with Riley's head resting in her lap. She had been awake for a while watching over him but had succumb to her own drowsiness. Baron slept right alongside the two.
Rioto however did not sleep much at all; he spent the night tinkering with trackers and radar settings, he was heavily monitoring any legendary activity. Twice he had released a Noctowl for aerial surveillance. It was as the sun hit Rioto's head he stretched away any sleepiness he had and glanced at the others.
Without checking in on his comrades to see if they were awake or not; he announced. "Anybody up for a hike to that weird volcano thing?" He said with a finger outstretched towards the beehive-like landmark. He tightened the laces to his skates as he spoke. "Your friend seems to be recovering well."
Lily clumsily awoke to his announcement and frantically checked on Riley who was now loudly snoring. With a sigh she glanced around for Robin, Carl, and Rioto.

(Sorry to hear that.)
Robin
I awoke with a start throwing my cap from my head and on to the ground. It had been a long day and a sleep like that was what I needed. “H-hike?” I asked, looking around at the others. Sceptile chuckled with his arms crossed, he loved having something to laugh about.
“Sure. Sure, I’m up for it. Back to see Diagla right?” Carl had somehow managed to sleep through Rioto’s announcement and continued to snore in unison with Riley. Course he would, the heavy sleeper that he was. “Huh, how long was I out?”

Rioto
I glanced back at Robin who seemed to be taking me up on my offer, then in response to his question I peered down at my watch. "Hm, no more than six hours." I responded to the champion. "Oddly enough, the night should have been shorter this time of year." I continued. "I'm worried about the time-altering effects taking place on this island."
"Dialga seems to be affecting more than I may have thought at first." I spoke grimly but perked back up as I stretched and began clumsily rolling up a slight hill. I sighed glumly and took a moment to remove my skates and replace them with some orange and black sandals. Shaymin seemed uncomfortable as I began to step instead of roll.
I threw out a pokeball and announced: "Okay, Electrode!" The beam released the corresponding pokemon. "Can you lead us to that weird mountain?" I asked pointing in the direction of the large, odd mountain that was currently masked by the trees. My pokemon rose above the treeline and began to glow as it hovered off in the direction of the strange legendary's mountain.
"Ready, Oakster?" I asked in a chipper tone.

I stared at the Electrode for a moment before rubbing my eyes. “Yeah, sure, I’m ready. Best not disturb either of them.” I pointed at Carl and Riley. This wasn’t go to be a short adventure but the events of the previous day would have anyone worn out. I was still worn out but that had to be ignored for now.
“Are you alright staying here Lilly?” I asked before heading off. She wasn’t too much younger than me, I knew that, but I had to ask.

Rioto
I glanced back to see the girl nodding back towards Robin. She seemed concerned about her friend, it'd be weird if she wasn't. I smiled and nodded as I turned back towards my path; Shaymin bounced awkwardly on my head as I hiked along.
It was hard to focus on the task at hand with what was still happening in Alola, but these time occurrences were starting to give me really unsettling vibes. "So, Robin." I began to ask. "You've only seen prehistoric pokemon since arriving here right?"
"I just so happen to know for a fact, that not too long ago there were pokemon not so fossil-y walking about on this island." I continued with narrowed eyes as I peered around. "And the water-level on this island should be higher. Current satellite footage is showing weird discrepancies right now."
(We can timeskip to the mountain after your response, if you'd like to do the pleasure.)

Robin
I looked around for a moment as we went and pondered on the question. “I’ve maybe seen one or two of these sort before. I recognise the Pokémon but never in this quantity, this is very different,” I answered.
“Carl mentioned there being a Snorlax which they kept safe when they were in the mountain. But there were supposed to be more than that, so much more. Where have all the other Pokémon gone. And what was that flying beast?”
I just looked around knowing we would probably find out those answers at some point soon.

Rioto
It wasn't too long before we stood at what I could only describe as a ballooned volcano, it was almost to a spherical shape. It seemed inactive, which was good. No signs of magma damage anywhere. Out in the distance a Yanmega seemed to be hunting something below the treeline.
"Alright, thank you, get some rest." I said to my pokemon, now in it's containment device.
"It makes sense for this to be where the Dialga is nesting, there is a lot of energy being picked up from here." I said looking at my radar. "We're going to need to move quick, we have something known as the Adamant Orb that we plan to gift to the Dialga." I explained. "And if that doesn't work, well..." I said.
"I have a back-up plan that I don't want to end up using." I looked up at Robin as I retied the laces on my boots before we would have to begin upwards. "You ready to meet this Dialga again?" I said preparing myself.
The air was still, it was as if Dialga knew we were approaching.

Robin
I nodded. I wasn’t really sure what was going on here. It seemed like Rioto had a lot planned out for this scenario, he had clearly learned a lot with this group. But what was an Adamant Orb, how would that help persuade Diagla to stop? What was Diagla doing exactly that needed to be stopped anyway? Was it bringing fossil Pokémon back to life at the expense of those that usually lived here?
I had always been the learn on the job kind of adventurer. But this felt like something we needed to consider before we went down there. Either way Rioto seemed to know what he was doing here and I was just happy to follow someone else’s lead.

Rioto
As I clumsily made my way up the fairly easy upwards trail, I realized just how not used to walking I really was. A chuckle escapes my lips. "-Can hardly move without wheels." I chuckled aloud to Robin.
"Yeah," I answered the absent question. "He's definitely here, seems dormant though."
In the distance an Aerodactyl battled a Yanmega over the treeline as the sun began rising higher in the sky. The trees swayed back and forth, the treetops were a dull yellow with spots of bright red; despite this the bottoms of the tree's canopy being a deep, natural green.
"This island is going wild." I explained lazily. "To put it simply." -- As Robin and I approached an opening lip to the mountain, a dry heat poured out of the wide crevasse and smacked me. "W-woa." I coughed out. "Let's be careful." The words fell from my lips as I crept along into the interior of ballooned volcano.
The cries of prehistoric pokemon chirped out as their bodies hid in the shadows cast by the sun shining in.

Robin
The heat hit me next, I had felt it before but it felt hotter now. Before we had come to rescue the others and I hadn’t really thought about it but now it was there. This was after all a volcano. I eyed the wild Pokémon, this wasn’t there fault. Prehistoric Pokémon such as these had been fossilised ages back, they would have no idea of the world as it was now. We weren’t really here to stop their return rather find out what this Diagla was doing and why the sudden surge in activity had taken place.
I sent out Pidgeot. “Hop on we need to get down there.” I told Rioto eying the crater. Then started coughing too, this wasn’t the safest of places. We weren’t a pair for safe places though.

Rioto
I smiled as the bird pokemon appeared before us, I remembered Pidgeot. Watching as Robin climbed on, I joined him after his order. "Whew, let's get this..." I spoke while letting loose a breath. "going, shall we." The density and heat of the air made speaking a bit more difficult.
As we descended further and further into the cavernous interior the heat intensified more and more, by the time we reached the ground it felt like a desert in the summer. "Okay, that's enough of that." I sighed with a smile. "Let's try Glalie." I said as I released the corresponding pokemon.
"Can you cool this place off a bit?" I asked my pokemon. Shaymin cried out in mild distress as well. The ice-type obeyed and slowly but surely the cavern cooled. I switched my flashlight on and directed it around us.
It was quiet.
The ground seemed to have fallen away a bit, but was mostly in fine condition. I stepped carefully around as I peered into large corridors. We seemed to be in the nest of a legendary, but Dialga was nowhere to be seen.
"Hm..." I pondered to myself. "The radar says there is something incredibly powerful in this mountain..." I looked up at Shaymin. "Dialga is here right?" I asked.
Shaymin chirped with confirmation. -- General RP
As the small grass-type chirped it was paired with a low and non-violent tremor. A familiar breathing began to sound off through the volcano. Rioto looked over to his champion friend as he pulled out the Adamant Orb.
"Well, let's find him and hope this works." I said somewhat grimly. "Because if not, I have a bad feeling for the integrity of this island." He half-explained. "Time is a dangerous thing to play with, even for an entity as intelligent as Dialga." From the room that Robin and Rioto, and their pokemon, stood in there were two corridors big enough for Dialga to be within. "No point in splitting up." Said Rioto. "We've only got one orb." Rioto looks first to the large northern corridor and then to the one located to the south.
"Shaymin, any clue which way it is?" Rioto asked his grassy friend. Shaymin remained silent, apparently a no.
"Should we head north or south, Oak?"

Robin
He was right though I had assumed Diagla would be playing with it’s abilities much more intelligently than it had done. What had prompted it to do what it was currently doing? Was something else behind this? Or had this been planned before?
I looked down each corridor. It was really a guessing game from here. Neither seemed to hint at anything more than the other but the northern corridor seemed larger somehow. That was the one that felt more appealing.
“Let’s head north then.”

Rioto
I nodded in response to Robin and we headed off down the northern path. The breathing sound from before echoed through once more.
Shaymin clutched my head tighter. "What's up?" I asked, looking up. Shaymin seemed distraught and uncomfortable continuing down through the cavernous interior. Shaymin trembled, we were heading the right way; Dialga's aura was starting to alarm my small, legendary friend.
Once more the ground trembled and I steadied myself. "Shoes were a good idea it seems." I muttered to group around me.
A deep, rumbling breath shocked my released Glalie and it fearfully returned to its container.
I handled the Adamant Orb in both hands, studying the weight for some moments as we neared the legendary beast.
"This is it." I said as we reached a large opening. Even with just the beam from my flashlight, the entirety of the Pokemon was visible. It stood, towering over us. It looked right at us but remained silent.
I stammered and looked at Robin, I didn't expect it to appear before us with so little fanfare. Shaymin shuddered and buried its little, furry head into my hair. In my momentary panic I dropped the small, shimmering orb and it smacked into the ground and began to roll away from us. "!"

(I finally make my return.)
Robin
Despite the lack of fanfare I still found myself captivated by the legendary beast, it was majestic and deadly at the same time. It felt like we were intruding on it’s home somehow but all we wanted to do was find out what it was doing and why it had decided to upset the balance of the island. Unfortunately just asking wouldn’t really help us there.
I heard the stone fall to the floor, hopefully it hadn’t broke. It was probably the only chance we had right now, or at least the only idea we had to stop this problem. I dived down to grab it and kept my eyes on the Diagla. This was a dicey situation.

Dialga's eye peered down at Robin diving for the orb and brought down its mighty neck towards the humans. A voice rumbled seemingly from the mountain itself. "Intruders." The voice brought down small stones and pebbles from the ceiling as it rumbled out.
"What is this?" It asked with a cautious tone and raised eye. Dialga's colossal head followed towards the orb. Dialga's curiosity was definitely peaked.
Shaymin began to lightly glow as it looked at Dialga. "Got a read on this guy yet, Shaymin?" Asked the young man standing beneath the small pokemon. The grass-type legendary responded negatively but continued glowing.

Robin
I looked to Rioto and back to the legendary beast that now had its eyes on me and the orb in my hands. It had obviously noticed something in the orb, something that had either caught it’s interest or triggered some memory. Not that I knew which.
I lifted the stone into the air towards it, trying my best to not give off a threatening vibe. “We are not here to harm you.”

The Dialga's eyes seemed fixated on the orb. It wasn't long before the orb lifted into the air like a bubble. It reflected the little light there was like a perfect little disco ball. Dialga began to shine similarly in response to the Adamant Orb, in unison a slight trembling shook the volcano.
The orb danced in the air for a moment before zooming towards the giant dragon-type pokemon. It seemed to fuse into the beast as it met with its forehead. Dialga was seemingly oblivious to Robin's words but no longer acted aggressive. In fact, Dialga seemed suddenly very preoccupied, the beast stretched and without fanfare the dragon rose into the air and made his leave through an exit Dialga had been previously blocking. The legendary pokemon made his way through the volcano quickly, arriving at the central nesting spot and blasting through one of the many eruption points.
From outside the volcano, the beast released a cry that shook the island itself. The islands inhabitants scurried to hiding spots in fear but the threat was no longer present.
Dialga had taken off incredibly quickly, seemingly newly angered at an unknown target. The hulking pokemon disappeared over the horizon.
"I-" Rioto stammered. "That all happened so fast." He said, clearly with a still spinning mind. He looked towards Robin for guidance, Rioto's bravado had taken a hit and he was not afraid to admit it.

Robin
At first all I could do was stare off in the direction that Diagla had left in. I had no idea what had just happened or even what was about to happen now that Diagla had left to deal with another matter. But we had given it a task or something at the very least just neither us knew what that was.
I bit my lip. An overwhelming urge to pursue the legendary beast surged through my body, that’s what I would normally want to do if the threat of Team Rocket wasn’t still looking. There was also the problem that it had a massive lead over us and our pilot was down. We couldn’t really follow if we wanted to. “Um,” I started. “Well it seems like it wanted that orb more than it wanted to hurt us or stay here so that’s interesting. What else do you know about that orb?”

Rioto
I carefully analyzed the last moments for a good while before responding to my friend. "I know that the orb empowers Dialga." I responded after a moment of thought. "It seemed that the Dialga had no more purpose here, for whatever reason that may be..."
I looked around and then thought back to the plane we left back in the field, and our unconscious pilot.
"Not that this wasn't enough excitement for one adventure or anything..." I started. "But I'm sure my higher-ups will want me to report in after all the interaction we've had with Dialga, we should see if Riley can still pilot a plane, eh?" I asked Robin with a cheery grin while looking at the large pathway cleared out for us that originally lie hidden behind Dialga.
