Robin
We floated tentatively for a moment after the light had gone out. The Pokémon hadn’t attacked us yet but it could at any moment. We knew nothing about it, just that it was massive and lived underground. I took out my Pokédex, partly for light, but also to give us some info on the beast that we couldn’t see. Carl looked towards the Snorlax and Riley, it seemed like the large creature had broken his fall. Maybe in thanks for saving it from falling itself.

For just a moment the breathing stopped and it was apparent that the darkness of the surroundings was severely amplified by the eerie silence. A brief moment passed before the pokedex lit up and began to list off what was lurking in the shadows.
"...Dialga, the Temporal Pokemon-"
The cry of the beast filled the cavern, in fact two cries emerged from the same source at the same time. One shrill and painful to hear and the other low and shaking the ground. The ground began to give as it was apparent Dialga was beginning to stand.
"Vibrava, use Flash!" Lily's order can be heard from above and quickly the small bug-like pokemon buzzed into the opening and and began illuminating the cavern through huge spotlights emanating from its eyes. The sunken cavern was large but Dialga took up easily half of it, the other half of the cavern consisted of Robin, Carl, and an unconcious Riley lying with the Snorlax.
The piercing red eyes of the monster looked down into the small humans and took a step foward revealing what it had been lying atop of. Hundreds, if not thousands of pokemon fossils and bones piled into a nest of sorts.
It let its massive gaze rest entirely on Robin.

Robin
I gulped, thankful for the light but not as thankful for the predicament we were now in. I returned Pidgeot and Carl rushed toward Riley. But a Dialga. A legendary creature as old as time, well it represented time no less. But what was it doing here? What was it doing with those fossils? And what did that have to do with the massive flying creature outside?
Was it looking for a fight? Would it lash out at us? It hadn’t yet. It had time to have harmed Riley beyond his current state but had not. Then it hit me. I had barely any knowledge of this creature beyond its legendary status. But all these fossils, all those fossil Pokémon. Was this legend of time bringing back the long dead? I stretched out my hands to show I meant no harm. I didn’t want to make the first move here.

The Dialga's gaze met Robin's and his colossal eyes followed Robin's movement. Dialga didn't seemed threatened, simply angry at this intrusion of his resting place. Dialga let loose a low rumbling hum that seemed almost inaudible but hook the ground heavily and then let loose a scream so powerful it had to have been an attack; aiming its head up and directing the attack with it. Sending a huge blue burst up through the crater in the ceiling and sending the lights out through the top of the mountain.
With that scream two of the nearer fossils began to glow, if simply just to prove Robin's theory for him. The first fossil revealed itself to be a Kabuto and the other an Anorith. The newly awakened fossils seemed rattled and confused by this sudden awakened but upon seeing the legendary monster in front of them they both scurried for a small exit to the cavern in the form of a small hole in the ground leading into water beneath the cavern. The howl continued however, releasing another Kabuto and it too running into the deep, watery exit in the far corner of the cavern.
Riley, even in his unconscious state, began to tightly grip his head to fight off the piercing scream. Snorlax wincing in pain from the Dialga looked to help from one of the humans.
Vibrava's light vanished for the remainder of the cry, finding it impossible to stay and produce light with the Dialga making a racket. As the howl dimmed, the light returned to the cavern.

Robin
We were disturbing the creature with our presence, I could tell that much. But it was fascinating watching the legendary beast bring back those fossil Pokémon. Maybe there was some way of communicating, it had to know that it was tearing the island apart despite its efforts. Could I speak to it? Or would I have to use a Pokémon? Guess there was only one way of finding out. I kept my Pokédex in hand, just in case it would aid in communication in some manner. “Hello, I’m Robin.” Better to start small.

The Dialga eyes widened for a moment then narrowed once more as it lowered its neck down a bit. Dialga seemed fairly uninterested in Robin's pleasantries and quickly made that known by letting a low growl out that shook the ground.
"Leave my nest, humans!" The words shook from the ground itself, not seeming to appear from Dialga itself in any fashion. Dialga reeled back and was seeming to charge a beam attack with his mouth.

I nodded. “Alright we need to leave,” I urged the others. There was no point in disturbing this beast any further. But that voice? Did it belong to Diagla or was there something else down here? “Carl find the Snorlax’s pokeball.”
“Alright Robin,” he replied. He searched Riley for a sign of the missing item. We needed to get the Pokémon out as well as everyone else.
I let Pidgeot out of her ball once more. She squawked in slight frustration at being let out so soon after being put in her ball. And then I looked back at the Diagla, it continued to charge its beam and I didn’t want to find out who or what it was meant for.

Dialga understood that the humans were leaving and began to calm itself while still remaining physically imposing. It watched as they gathered up the injured human and the Snorlax. Dialga seemed content enough with just being left alone to slumber, it had no need to cause wanton destruction.
As the group hopped aboard a Pidgeot and left the ground began to rumble once more, this time taking Dialga by surprise as well. The tremors were enormous and far more dangerous compared to Dialga's cries or the Rampardos stampedes. Dialga's head suddenly spun to face where the group had left as it pieced the puzzle together.
A roar suddenly bursts from the cavern, only adding to the destruction of the volcano.
Lily screamed for assistance from Robin while jumping.

(I’m sorry, I’ve not been around much at all this past week.)
Robin
We had loaded onto Pidgeot just as the roar and subsequent scream echoed across the carvern. It wasn’t the Diagla, the beast before us was bringing Pokémon back to life, it was not seeking the chaos that was consuming the island. Something else was at work here. We swooped up just in time for Pidgeot to catch Lilly with her talons. There were now four of us on the bird, she wouldn’t be able to go as fast as normal with that kind of weight, but she would try.

"Vibrava, can you carry Baron?" I ask poiting to the Croconaw standing awkwardly and nervously at one of the many ground exits. Vibrava hastily flew over to the water pokemon and began struggling to lift him but finally, quickly and hapharzardly, he lifted him and buzzed out one of the holes to the volcano.
As we left the volcano I nervously looked around for the giant dinosaur pokemon that were previously attacking but they were completely missing. A burst streaked past us suddenly, shot from Dialga. It pierced the air and left a smell of burnt grass in the air. I looked back to see Dialga emerging behind us with a dark intent in his eyes. "Robin!" I shout and point, carelessly putting too much effort on Pidgeot's side, I noticed and quickly readjusted.
"We need to get to that plane!" I screamed. I thought for a moment, if Dialga followed us it would destroy the plane for sure.
A roar pierced the sky as Dialga began to fly towards us.

I looked back at the Diagla as it countinued to chase us. There was nothing we could do to stop it unless we wanted to antagonise it further. I did not want to give the creature a reason to fight us. We just needed to go and leave it alone. But what about that flying beast from before? Was that still around? It more than anything else was the real problem here.
“We’re going as fast as we can!” I yelled. Pidgeot couldn’t go much quicker considering the weight she was carrying. Four humans wasn’t exactly and easy carry at the best of times. I didn’t have any more flying Pokémon in my party, nor did Carl if I remembered his crew properly. If only Harry was here with his Dragonite and I couldn’t risk moving too much to pull my pocket pc out of my bag, assuming that even worked on this island.

I gulp for a moment and look back to see that Dialga had closed good distance. "We're going to have to do something soon Robin!" I shout in panic. "I don't think Dialga likes us!" Below us I could see the ground rippling below us once more, violent and jerky; like from the movies.
This island was splitting down the middle, a thin fissure but scary nonetheless. Is this what Robin's life is like? I was useless to Robin, I couldn't just let him fix everything while I sit to the side.
"Robin, we're gonna have to get excess weight off of Pidgeot. Let us off, and -" I realized I was missing the pokemon that could carry Riley to the plane now. I look to Carl. "Do you think Rhyperior could carry Riley and Baron back to the plane?"

Robin
I looked back slightly to observe their exchange and catch a glimpse of the ever advancing Diagla. It was one thing to see the creature, it was another to have it angrily chasing you for something you hadn’t done.
Carl reached his belt and whipped out Rhyperior’s ball. “Yeah, he should be able to. We’re going to have to get a little lower though.” Pidgeot understood that command, she was certainly thankful for the assistance and lowered herself. Carl released Rhyperior who began to run alongside the bird as fast as it could.

(Lost the address to this place and it took me an embarrassingly long time to remember the name of this place. I kept typing in "bananaboard" and it wasn't getting me anywhere...)
Lily
I peered back as we raced along through the trees to see that Dialga was actually losing speed. He seemed to be falling back to the volcano, he had something to do with time. Surely, he was causing this island to revert the same way the fossils were. Is that how it worked?
Either way, it was out of our hands now. Dialga clearly didn't want interference from humans on his prehistoric nesting site. What has happened to all of the the non-fossil pokemon though? I've only seen the Snorlax, not even a few bugs crawling around.
"This place is so different." I mutter to myself while clutching to Rhyperior. As we approached the plane, I helped the unconscious Riley rest comfortably.
"I think we're camping here for the night unless one of you can pilot this thing. The private jet doesn't have auto-pilot since papa can pilot it too he never saw the need for it." I say sitting down. The sky was growing dark, night would fall soon. Dialga had seemingly given up the chase but the rumblings continued, far and in between. It was eerily quiet without the calls of any pokemon.
Low rumbles and distant roars from revived fossils.

(Ah, that explains it. No worries mate.)
Robin
We landed beside them and I hopped off Pidgeot. “Good idea, I don’t have another one. Honestly, I don’t know what we can do here. Or if we need to do anything really. Diagla seems determined on reverting the island to its ancient state. But why?”
Carl looked between us and sat down. He was obviously exhausted. “Look Robin, as long as it’s doing it here on a secluded island it won’t be a problem, right?”
“No, probably not. But what about all the other species of Pokémon? This isn’t just about the fossils, what about those that lived here already?” And what about that massive flying creature that we spotted overhead. Something else was up here, more than just a legendary.

Hours later, night had fallen and we were sitting around a campfire near the jet. I couldn't sleep so I stared into the fire for a long time and thought about my forsaken fire-type. I let loose a deep sigh, after puzzling over what Robin has mentioned earlier for a while I started thinking aloud.
"There used to be a lot of normal-types around here, as well as fairy and bug pokemon." I mentioned. "I had never seen a fossil pokemon on this island before now..." A light rumble, similar to the ones that had been plaguing us since arrival, shook the island-No. This time it was different, it sounded like engines. They sounded like vehicles headed to the southern side of the island, a little beach sat down there from what Riley had told me.
"Robin, do you hear that?" I ask the champion.

The rumbling went on. It wasn’t hard to miss but even then it shook me. We hadn’t seen anyone else on this island during our brief visit, just fossil Pokémon and a legendary that didn’t make sense on their own. With that rumbling there was a chance that this all had something to do with human involvement. That or more people had arrived now for the first time, either having followed us here or by chance.
I looked to Lilly. “Yeah, I hear it. But it can’t be right? We haven’t seen anyone since we arrived.” Either way we had to investigate. If they were friendly they wouldn’t know about the threat they would soon meet here. And if they were foes they probably knew something about this situation that we did not. “Carl, stay here and look after Riley. You’ve got more Pokémon than Lilly and we might need them to protect the jet. Lilly you can come with me.”
Carl nodded. “Right, right. Baron and my lot will do what we can.”

I look to Baron and he salutes proudly. I smile and look back to Robin. "Okay." I respond. We set off from the plane and head off towards the sound of engines. It continued for a while as we approached before I realized, those were definitely vehicles and they were getting closer.
"Robin, they're coming towards us!" I say with a panic. I heard the sounds of trees cracklings underneath tires and the lights off their vehicles began to shine through the trees in patches. I began to move out of the way when the sounds stopped approaching and quieted to a low roar.
"Who's back there?" A shout over a speaker of some kind carried over the area. I nervously looked at Robin, I didn't know if we should answer.

I tried to stay as still as possible. I glanced back at Lilly and held my finger to my mouth. They knew we were here either way, they had already spotted us. Talking wasn’t exactly a bad option and if that talking turned into fighting then I was confident that I could deal with that. I rubbed my hand across my belt and stuck my back against a tree so that they couldn’t see me. “Who’s asking?” I called back. No doubt it would infuriate them but if they answered I would have a better chance of knowing what we were dealing with here.

I quietly fell to the side and watched as Robin shouted back to the mysterious man's voice. There was an eerie silence for a moment, the only sound being the low rumble of the vehicles. Finally a response:
"Robin?" My eyes widened as I heard the voice, how could they have known? "Robin Oak?"
I looked around to see if there was anyway for them to have seen us. Could they tell by the voice? I gave an uneasy glance to Robin. I heard the unmistakable sound of pokemon being released followed by the sounds of trickling electricity.
"Is that you?" The voice sounded off again, it was unfamiliar but male. Just as I was about to alarm Robin to my uneasy feeling the voice came once more. "I'm, like... you're biggest fan."
...Seriously?

I glanced at Lilly in surprise. And then had to stifle an accidental chuckle. How could they possibly tell who I was based on my voice alone? Was it really that distinct? Either way only someone who knew me very well would know it right off the bat like that. Considering they didn’t know I was here beforehand of course.
I had also heard the distinctive sound of a Pokémon being released. A fan would probably send it out to show me. But an enemy could easily say the same thing under the pretence of being a fan. And if it was an enemy then we were in for some more trouble.
“Keep watch in case things aren’t as they seem,” I muttered to Lilly. They knew I was here. Friend or foe I had to show myself. And so I did. I stood up and went into the open. “Yes, it’s me. How did you know?”

After a good chuckle a slightly nasal voice chimed in response. "Don't tell me you don't remember me." The disembodied voice answered the champion.
As the champion entered the opening, the headlights to the car had shut off, allowing for the champion to see the black-haired man on roller-skates and another unknown man getting out of the car.
"C'mon, I still wear skates and everything." The man said jokingly.
Next to him stood an Electabuzz but on his head sat a Shaymin. Upon seeing Robin however, the man returned his Electabuzz. He glanced back at his driver. "It's okay, it's who I expected."

(Ohhhh, I think I know who it is. Let’s go for broke.)
Robin
I glanced back into the trees, we were alright now. This wasn’t some member of Team Rocket, nor any other nefarious operation that had sprouted up along the way. Unless he had joined them since our last meeting. It had been a long time since that meeting in Johto, so long that I hadn’t thought I had would ever see him or his brother again. A lot had changed for us both since then. The Shaymin was evidence of that. A far cry from someone with only a Wartortle, and perhaps a Girafarig that I had caught. “Rioto? Is that you?”
