Pokémon World : Revival

This is a continuation of my old abomination of the same name. If you are interested in joining, feel free. No limit on characters for the most part. It's open-world so do whatever.
Also, this is my first thread on this site so, I might mess up a bit.


PLOT


The world of Pokemon is a large and fascinating one it is filled with humans and Pokemon who are known for working side by side in their battles against others, but also known for much more. Humans and Pokemon alike can grow to be legends among the other inhabitants and that is just what many have done. Legendary Pokemon are the guardians of the world and will stop at nothing to protect it although they have been known to put it into jeopardy themselves.



Humans have taken on many roles among their fellow humans and their Pokemon friends; such as trainers, coordinators, rangers, breeders, Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, and there are people who even go on to become a league champion. Pokemon are also known for their many different jobs, there are partner Pokemon who assist rangers, and there are hospital Pokemon who assists the nurses. All the creatures inhabiting this world have a role; whether it be a modest wild Pokemon or a legendary creature that defends the world.



Some humans and Pokemon make reputations as bad or maybe even evil. Many people have started evil corporations or teams such as Team Rocket, Team Magma, and even more. These people have different goals but all normally use villainy to achieve these goals. Many people have rose up to stop them, from the law enforcement and even modest trainers.



The sky is the limit is this wonderful world of Pokemon, you may follow any dream you want. With your friends (or not) you can accomplish anything.

He is a fairly tall and lithe man who commonly wears nice clothing. He is pale with neat black hair and grey eyes. He wears thick-rimmed glasses.

Bio: He grew up attempting to follow in his father's footsteps and striving to be the champion of every region, he realized if he was champion of every region he would surpass all before him and go down a legend. He grew to popularity as one of the best champions but was quickly out shined by his rival, Robin. He watched as armies of people he believed to be his friends and fans would clamor to talk to Robin only to mach him realize how much more important it was to become the all-time champion really was. He and Robin began to run into each other more and more. Irritated by how much he truly wanted to be like Robin he began to grow more and more competitive slowly losing grip on compassion. He found contact with Team Rocket where he quickly pushed himself to an admin rank; again Robin thwarted him which sent him into a spiral. He began to lose his titles and the fame he had left.

He grew bitter, but was eventually disappeared, thought to be kidnapped by a fellow champion, Bridgette, and his ex-colleague, Priar, along with many fellow champions for some greater scheme. Now it seems however, Jude was behind this plot all along, a final attempt at Robin.

(As for Bridgette and Priar, they're just bad guys with the only major threatening pokemon being a Regice and a Darkrai. Murdoc is a vigilante helping Robin with his Pyroar.)

(Going to be fairly barebones on descriptions as there's a few to get through.)

Name: Robin Oak
Age: 19 (Don't know exactly how long it's been in RP but it has to be at least a couple of years since the forest saga finished. Robin has always been younger than Jude by a couple of years though.)
Appearance: Robin is average height with light brown hair and blue eyes. He's got a fairly freckly noise though the rest of his face remains freckless. These days he tends to wear a dark leather jacket with a white undershirt and blue trousers, rather than the brown that he used to wear.
Gender: Male
Inventory: The usual plus a portable PC and a pokedex.

Pokémon:
Usual team: Sceptile, Poliwrath, Jolteon, Gyarados, Pidgeot, Arcanine (Mewtwo is currently in hand)
- There are others kept on a small island off the Kanto region though, with some exceptions, they don't see frequent use.

Bio: Robin had always been a competitive trainer, even before his grandfather gifted him his first Pokémon, but it wasn't until after a wildfire set Pallet Town ablaze that he decided to act on it. His father disappeared, and would not renter his life for many years, and his brother had been gravely burned so it was up to Robin to follow in his grandfathers footsteps and win the Indigo League, and maybe even become Kanto champion someday. Along the way he forged a number of friendships like Harry, the Pokémon Centre burgler who later became a doctor, and Michael, his estranged cousin. Though there were enemies as well like the Elemental Order and Team Rocket, both of which never seem to disappear. He managed to win the Indigo League and later became Champion of both Kanto and Johto, a feat shared by Jude at the time as the other champion also had two regions. The two became fierce rivals as Jude swept through Johto's gym leaders with ease and posed one of the greatest challenges to Robin's championship. They continued to meet and many of the conflicts that Robin worked to resolve had Jude behind them. Robin didn't always win, especially when Jude used nefarious tactics to get his way, but always did just enough to evade capture or death.

Lucario became a significant friend to Robin, they bonded over the fact that they both hated Robin's father who had tortured Lucario. Though that bond was shaken over the events of New Island during which Robin forced Lucario, and friends, to imprison a new Pokemon that was to dangerous to be free.

Now days Robin is facing increasingly difficult odds. The ex-leader of Team Rocket had beaten him in a battle which resulted in a Kangaskhan fist to the back but that was a little while ago. The Elemental Order and his father are fighting over the mega evolution stones. And now after finding the missing champions it turns out that not only Jude has rejoined Team Rocket but Brigette has as well. The stakes have never been higher and Robin's chances are getting slimmer.

(Carl's the only other trainer on the scene, he's a friend of Robin's but slightly younger. His Pokémon include: Togetic, Meganium, Rhyperior, Starmie, Lumintone, and Alakasam.)

(Okay, I guess I should try to start this off.)

General RP

The huddled masses crowded into buildings in fear and power began to go out through the entire city, panic hit many as grunts from this violent group flooded the street to keep everything on lock-down. The hunt was on for Robin, they had to recapture the boy and put an end to him. The law enforcement were meeting the army but to no real victories. A single shadowy figure took to the rooftops to attempt to find his friend before they did.

Murdoc

I had left Carl in charge of his group, hopefully he could keep his friends safe without me. Right now, I need to try to find Robin and get him to safety. The quicker I could get them out of here the quicker things would relax. I began moving towards where the explosion has been earlier, the factory district of the town.

Robin

I stir awake and realise for the first time that I'm no longer in the office with Bridgette and Priar. Mewtwo grunts to symbolise he knows I'm awake but continue to make its way out of the factory district. There was no way of telling how far we had to go or how far we had come but it was best not to the Pokemon as it concentrate on our survival. We would see the others soon, and at least we had finally got to the bottom of this problem.

General RP

As the figures made their way through the buildings and large generators figures began to slowly gain speed from behind them. Three Houndoom burst from the shadows after the two with the sole intent to apprehend the escapees. The largest Houndoom in the lead and seemingly the fastest has a light glow coming from its mouth; the glow grew brighter and suddenly it erupted sending a blast of fire towards the Mewtwo.

The other two followed suit and sent fire blasts to follow their leader's attack.

Robin

A blaze surged towards us but all I could see was the bright, red glow as Mewtwo swerved around to take the brunt of the heat in the back. I gasped in shock but Mewtwo remained silent only grunting as the flame hit. "We have to go buddy," I wheezed. It nodded, then turned around to face the Houndoom and sent a Psywave in their direction.

General RP

As the wave sweeps over towards the Houndoom all three in unison flinch at the attack and attempt to take the force of the attack to their sides rather then face first, after a moment all three began back towards the Mewtwo in full sprint again. The lead Houndoom quickly took charge and ran to the front of the group and let out a roar as he picked up speed.

Murdoc

Upon reaching the outskirts of a large warehouse I heard the sounds of battle and began to pick up pace while attempting to remain hidden, I couldn't risk getting spotted out by a grunt. As I got closer I saw someone being carried by a figure and pokemon silhouettes chasing after. "Get in there!" I say to Pyroar who was running by my side even deeper in the shadows. Whoever was running seemed to be in danger, whether it was Robin or not wasn't important right now.

Robin

As the Houndoom ran towards us I heard Mewtwo inhale deeply. The psychic hadn't dealt the intended on hit knock out so now they were facing a proper ordeal. He crossed his arms around me and his eyes glowed blue as a protection orb grew around us. It would probably only sustain a single attack or two but would at least buy us time for Mewtwo's next move.

Murdoc

I watched as Pyroar leaped into view of the Houndoom pack just as the largest tackled into a force field of sorts, I could tell the figure inside was definitely a pokemon due to it's large tail. The Houndoom seemed caught off by my pokemon but quickly turned attention to him. Pyroar let loose a bone-chattering roar and slammed directly into the largest Houndoom sending it sliding over the concrete ground. The other two Houndoom seemed off-put and began to step back slightly.

They slowly backed away and eventually turned and ran off. The lead Houndoom stood with a wobble and growled at Pyroar before running after his pack.
I began towards the figure slowly, I still wasn't sure who this was.
"Pyroar, to me." I said loud enough for him to hear but not quite a shout.

Robin

The force field dropped as the Houndoom barged into it but it lasted just in time for our rescue as the massive Pyroar, I recognised as Murdoc's, scarred our aggressors away.

"Murdoc?" I croaked, still rather fragile from getting hit by a Pokemon. Mewtwo followed the Pyroar at a tentative distance, close enough so we could see it but not so close that it would be spooked at our following it. After all, it wasn't certain who it belonged to, if anyone.

Murdoc

"What happened to you, Robin?" I ask moving towards him quickly. I saw Pyroar loop around me to come to my opposite side. Before he responded I interrupted. "There's no time, we should get you off this island as quickly as possible." I looked at the pokemon, I hadn't seen it's type before but I could tell it was a legendary. I wasn't too educated on the vastness of pokemon.

"Can you carry Robin or would you rather I carry him?" I ask it. "I don't mind, you look injured."

[Duck14]

Robin

Mewtwo shook its head and continued to hold me in its arms, probably more out of pride than wanting to actually carry me though. "What about the others? Are they alright?" I ask Murdoc from my awkward position. Carl, Lucario, and the others had been left in a safe spot but the matter of Pidgeot being frozen as she was still played on my mind.

Murdoc

"I had to leave them to come get you." I say. "They were fine last I checked and I left them in a safe spot but we should hurry all the same." I say hearing shouting coming from the factory. We made pace back to the city and cut in between alleys to attempt to lose any traces before we eventually reached Robin's party.

I look around at the group before clearing my throat and speaking.
"I hate to cut our time short but I'm afraid you need to make haste off this island, the quicker you're all out of the Big Orange's hair the quicker I can return this island to its idea of peace." I pause a moment before directing my statement towards Robin.
"I will work out a way to reverse that stasis affect but for now I need time to fix this." I look at my frozen Luxray. "I have a chip in this too."

I look out towards the docks, far down the main road. "There is a boat with an M on it out in the harbor. Take that and head off as fast as you can, it's motor-powered." I nod towards Pyroar.
"Guard and Pyroar will help me fix these problems. Feel free to take Pidgeot with you." I hand Carl a piece of paper with my phone's number on it. "Take this and hurry. Go."

Robin

I watch him hand the number to Carl before turning my attention back to Pidgeot. "Thanks for everything Murdoc. But how do we unfreeze Pidgeot? Will she fit in the pokeball in this state or will the effect wear off?"

[Creative]

Murdoc

"Like I said, I'll have to figure that out. When I do hopefully Pidgeot just reanimates, if not call me and I'll bring that device." I explain. "Now hurry!" I say pointing to the docks as I turn back with Pyroar and head back to my hideout.

[Duck14]

Robin

I nod and bring Pidgeot along as we all head to the docks. I looked at the others, they were shaken from the events of the last couple of days and my whole body ached. "It's Bridgette, the Hoenn champion, she's behind this with Priar and Jude. Looks like Team Rocket's back once again."

As the group took to the boat and set off sirens could be heard echoing all throughout the city, chaos had erupted in this bustling place.

The waters were dark but quiet. Time seemed to pass slower as the group traveled quietly.

(Are we planning to put the characters from others such as Lucario somewhere to go off or would you like to take control of them?)

(I would probably feel better sending them somewhere for now. There's a few places such as the Pokemon village in Elm forest or Robin's island.)

Robin

I fiddled with my portable PC while watching my frozen Pidgeot. The others said nothing, but we all knew what was happening. The world had to be warned, Team Rocket was back and something had to be done. Otherwise we were looking at a situation far worse than the last couple of times.

After nearly four hours of navigating the water a rotating light atop a tower could be seen upon a smaller island in the distance. There didn't seem to be any lights besides the lighthouse. If passed it would be a few more hours until mainland Kanto.

[Duck14]

Robin

I paced along the deck of the ship going over the events of the last couple of days, the professors and the other champions had to know. But could I even trust them, two alleged champions were Team Rocket leaders and they may very well have control over some other high ranking trainers. The thought of calling Michael, the Viridian Gym leader, crossed my mind but I didn’t want to get my cousin into this mess.

I found a quiet spot on the boat and shifted through the contacts on my phone until I landed on Professor Oak and clicked to start the call.

(Did you want to go to mainland or go to one of the islands?)

[Duck14]

(This is a cruise ship right? Let’s head to Vermillion.)

[Creative]

(Private ship, but sounds good.)

General RP

As the sun began to creep up from the horizon the group finally reached Vermillion on the mainland. A group of fisherman, accompanied by a Poliwhirl, were sitting on the shoreline as the boat drifted in. One of the fisherman put his hand to his eyes to see the boat better. "Ahoy, there!" He shouted to the people aboard. The boat slowly pulled to a public dock.
