Riley
I felt my back land hard on the ground and before I had a chance to react I had a slightly overweight pokemon leaping onto my gut. I let out a sharp cough and lifted my head to see the figure of Rhyperior above us and a little further away smack away the fossil pokemon. I looked around to see a two more pokemon, similar to the other ones but far smaller and seemingly less aggressive; definitely a pre-evolution.
"Carl, down here. We got some lost babies!" I shout up to him. Baron stood up, clearly spun and dizzy from his fall. -- Lily
I frantically threw my arms up and latched onto Robin. "Robin, get us out of here!" I screamed without truly attempting to. I returned Vibrava, he wouldn't be able to keep up with Pidgeot.
Behind us I hear the large pokemon let loose a roar and stomp to his feet quickly; he was chasing us.

Carl
I turned to Riley. He was right. There were younger Pokémon down there. If they were lost or not we had to get them out of here, the stampede would be a problem for everyone. And if they remained where they were they would be trampled for sure. “Rhyperior. Get the babies.”
My Pokémon nodded and rushed over to gather the young Pokémon in it’s arms. We had to hurry. “Riley, you know this island better than me. What should we do?”
———— Robin
Pidgeot took off. While in the air we were safe from anything on the ground. Pidgeot could outpace them. We had to find the others. “What’s going on here? The whole island is shaking.”

Riley
I helped Rhyperior, or attempted to help him, scoop up all the hard-headed baby pokemon; he seemed more than capable of carrying the two little things. "That cave in the clearing we were headed for, that's our best bet." I answer Carl while attempting to get back on the path. Baron made it up with little issue, and he attempted to assist me as well.
Suddenly, a pokemon cry, unlike anything I had heard before. Loud and piercing, nearly threw me off balance.
A gust of wind came ripping by. I looked up to see two huge, leathery wings overheard. "Aerodactyl." I said in awe quietly. I knew of that one, I had read about Aerodactyl plenty. "Let's get these babies to the cave!" I said with a new found sense of wonder in the situation. -- Lily
"Well, I'm not sure if you noticed." I said catching my breath. "..But there is a 10 ton monster chasing after us, that might have something to do with the tectonic activity." I said with a verbal jab.
I let out a huge sigh and collapsed into Robin. "Thank you." I said quietly with a light breath. I looked back at the giant pokemon that seemed to have completely recollected its footing. It was lacking the speed of Pidgeot however.
"I think, I don't think it can catch up to us." I said still shaken for words. As if on command, as I uttered those words a large flying fossil pokemon jetted over-head, matching Pidgeot speed. It buzzed right past us however, past the Tyrantrum as well. It flew until it was completely out of sight.

Carl
Rhyperior took off toward the cave as soon as the others were safely aboard. I smiled at Riley as the Aerodactyl flew by. Of course he would fall for the flying fossil. But what in the world was going on here? Was this our doing? Did the Pokémon not like the plane landing? But Riley had mentioned coming here before and seemed as surprised as I was by this occurrence. Something else was happening and it wasn’t too do with us. Rhyperior kept running, he wouldn’t break his stride now. We were almost at the cave.
———— Robin
“What was that thing?” I needed to stop asking questions, that wasn’t my job. I was the guy with the made up answers. Not the one with no clue. We had a choice. To follow it or to find the others. “Carl and Riley will be alright,” I muttered. “Pidgeot, follow that thing!” Pidgeot squawked in protest but turned around. We had lost sight of the creature already but it’s speed was similar to Pidgeot. The bird swerved around the Tyrantrum as we past it again. I grabbed Lilly to keep her steady. Couldn’t have her falling back in front of that Pokémon. Then we were off to follow the thing we could no longer see.

The cave entrance sunk in with a huge dip that made the entrance look far greater from a glance than it truly was. The opening of the cave was wide but not very tall, large enough for a human to crawl into but not much bigger. Baron squeezed his way in first and the baby pokemon kicked out of Rhyperior's hand to follow after Baron into the safety of the cave. -- Riley
I follow behind and poke my head in the cave, upon seeing the insides I nearly fell over in shock. It was a huge cavern that took up a huge section of the mountain's interior, as well as a lot of ground below it. There were little pinpoints of light coming through all over, little tunnels and caves leading to this huge place all over the island that I had never seen.
"I don't get it." I said in shock. It looked like the inside of some kind of hive. Pokemon all working together and playing and fighting, it was massive as well. They all looked like fossil pokemon, except for...a Snorlax...
"I think that's the same Snorlax I always see. In fact I'm sure it is."
I pause. I pop my head out and look at Carl and laugh hysterically. I had no words for once. -- Lily
I let out a light yelp as Pidgeot turned tail and boomed past the Tyrantrum who snapped at us in turn. It let loose a cry after us while I returned Vibrava.
"How are we going to catch that thing, Robin?" I ask.

I jump off Rhyperior and return him to his ball. He wouldn’t make the squeeze. Then I heard Riley’s laughter. It was intoxicating. Made me laugh as well, a lot. I jumped through the hole to join him on the other side. Fossil Pokémon everywhere, and a Snorlax. That’s what Riley was laughing about.
“You’re mad,” I joke has my laughter subsides. “What on earth is going on here?”
———— Robin
“Fly and fly fast.” Pidgeot soared faster. “If we’re quick enough we may be able to reach its slipstream. And then we’ll get an extra boost. Well at least I hope we do. Otherwise we’ll wear Pidgeot out for no reason. But it’s fun and a mystery. I have no idea what that thing was.”

Riley
I shake my head in confusion. "It's some kind of colony. They're all nesting in the same area." I mutter while pacing around the large interior. I looked up to see a Skarmory perched on what seemed to be an exit, higher up, in the ceiling.
"This place is incredible, but why are there so many fossil pokemon?" I ask rhetorically. I could hear a powerful rumble echo from the entrance we took, I looked back to see it was caved in. There were exits everywhere however, so I wasn't too nervous. -- Lily
I gripped onto the large bird pokemon as it began to accelerate and suddenly I felt the speed increase even beyond what I had become used to. How was Robin used to this speed? I could make out a small and dark figure that got larger and larger and suddenly I realized it was coming right back at us.
I could see a glow of light coming from where it's mouth would be and suddenly a pillar of flames rushed towards us.

“You said something earlier about this being an old mining island. Maybe this is what they unearthed. Or maybe it wasn’t even a mining island. I don’t know, I’m as confused as you are pal.” I stopped thinking to look around. I had never seen so many fossil Pokémon. I didn’t even think there could be this many. Whatever was going on here had led us to this.
———— Robin
My eyes widened as the pillar of flames came toward us. Pidgeot squawked in fright and attempted a dodge to the side. She managed to protect the two of us but her left wing remained in the line of fire for a little to long. It signed her and then we lost both speed and altitude as she attempted to recover. I grabbed Lilly. “Hold tight! She’ll try not to crash land,” I yelled. Try being the operative word.

I nod in response still taken away by the sight. "It's odd, in all the times we visited there were never prehistoric pokemon, at least not this many." I say wandering a bit. I took in all the insane pokemon around me. "We should let the others know!" I slightly shout due to the sudden realization. "This is amazing!" -- Lily
I let loose a yelp as I grip for safety. I look at the pokemon that had attacked us, it was approaching quickly and with mouth wide open. I clenched for impact but the beast flew by us yet again, it was still incredibly fast and buzzed past the giant pokemon for a second time, this time striking it.
My vision suddenly became obstructed by treetops and Pidgeot headed down towards the ground.

“Yeah, we should.” I tapped my watch to contact Robin then noticed something I already knew. My watch had been busted when that Darkrai had hit me. “Ah, slight problem. They probably felt the rumbles though, they could be anywhere. Should we head back to the plane?”
———— Robin
Pidgeot cried as she pulled up once more. She had managed to stabilise herself for the moment but that thing didn’t want us getting any closer than we had already been. “I have no idea what that creature is. Doesn’t like us being here or anything else it seems.”

"We should find the boys." I say to Robin as Pidgeot regains her balance. I try to get a grasp for the island, there was my garden to the east of the island and to the northwest, a large mountain covered in trees. The Aerodactyl was firing beams at the giant Tyrantrum and it responded by snapping at it with it's huge jaws.
"And get away from this. I don't think my pokemon can really handle something like that anymore." I say. -- Riley
I look at my phone, it was mangled. "You have a way to get a hold of Robin?" I ask.

“Yes, we should. Something is up here. All these Pokémon are acting up and I can’t quite trace why.” I turned Pidgeot’s head toward the forest where Carl and Riley had left toward. “Wait, your Pokémon could handle something like that before?”
———— Carl
“Well, usually this watch helps with communication. It broke in an encounter with a Darkrai. I just hadn’t noticed till now.” Great, that left us without any form of contact. It always came down to the basic stuff.

"Without the captain of their team they aren't nearly as strong." I said whimpering a bit. I realized I was starting to get emotional so I quickly changed subjects; I hardened my eyes and pointed towards the bizarre mountain. "That's part of the path that Riley normally hikes." I say in an attempt to deduce where the boys were. "It's the strangest landmark. That would be a good starting point."
I examine it. "It looks like an inactive volcano with multiple exit points from a previous eruption." -- Riley
"Should we look around or go try to find the guys? They might need us, after all." I ask Carl, I could feel my heart finally starting to slow after all the excitement.

I gave her a side-glance. Captain of their team? What did that mean? But chose not to bring up the sudden change in subject. She wasn’t much younger than me, a couple of years, tops. She must have been training Pokémon for quite some time. I eyed the location she had pointed toward. “Alright, sounds like as good a bet as any. Let’s go.” Pidgeot shot towards the volcano like mountain.
——— Carl
“It’s probably best to try to find the others. We could wait outside and try to get their attention or something like that. It’s better than wondering off and getting lost without them.”

I turned towards Carl with inclination to agree but was cut off by a shattering roar. I felt my eyes widen reflexively and I swung around to find the noise, a new fear crawled up my spine. "What was that?" I asked as the prehistoric pokemon around us began to run from their hiding spot and began leaving through any exit they could find. The only pokemon remaining were out own and the Snorlax who was visibly shaken and attempting to get up.
I looked down at Baron who seemed visibly unnerved and ready to exit the mountain as well. Another screech, I covered my ears this time right as it began rather than halfway through. The noise was coming from below the middle of the ground in the cavern. It rumbled the very ground but wasn't as loud as I would expect for the amount of vibration, it was a low roar but still shrill somehow, like a multilayered cry; it was unreal.
I looked back at Carl and found my body slowly inching towards the way we came in. -- Lily
An enormous roar pierced the sky and it was definitely coming from the direction of the volcano. "Oh no." I said thinking nervously to myself. Whatever this thing is, it's bigger than that fossil back there.
"Robin, if that's where we're going, we have to hurry." I say to him. "I don't like the sound of the cry."

The ground shook beneath us so I leaned on a near rock to steady myself. This was weird. It wasn’t normal. I hated not knowing what was going on. Robin loved it, he loved a good mystery. But I wanted answers. “Tell me and tell me now. Has this ever happened on this island before? Because all of this is mad, unreal. How is this happening?” I stayed as close to my travelling companion as I could.
———— Robin
Pidgeot pivoted slightly to line up the volcano. We had to get there and we had to get there soon. “I don’t like it much myself!” I called back. “We’re going as fast as we can. And trust me, Pidgeot ain’t slow.”

Riley
"I couldn't begin to tell you what is happening." I say to him lifting my hands in confusion. "I've never even seen a prehistoric pokemon in person before. And I swear this mountain used to be solid, it's been bothering me." I say to him.
I could feel heat growing beneath us. "I have a bad feeling!" I looked over at Snorlax who was still stuck on his back. I looked at Carl unsure of what to do. It hit me, I took out a pokeball and threw it towards Snorlax who was quickly caught inside. The ball shook a moment and then settled. I ran over to the ball to retrieve it before whatever was about to happen, happened.
The ground beneath us began to rumble and I looked over towards Carl and began to shout but fell the ground fall out from beneath me, I heard the cry of the pokemon more clearly now. It was powerful, it was unlike anything I've ever heard before. Around me was only darkness, I could only hear the low rumbling breathing of something in this cavern with me.
I was dazed and so far from my entry point I could hardly make out the light from it. I hit something on the way down and slide down it, it broke my fall but I was still unable to even focus my eyes. -- Lily
I point towards a hole in the mountain-dome. "In through that big one on the side." I say to Robin and Pidgeot. There was another cry, this one was clearer. It carried through the air very differently then a sound, it was a wave. I could feel a shudder crawl down my spine in nervous anticipation for whatever was waiting for us.

(Sorry for the late reply.)
Carl
I watched him catch the Snorlax. It amazed me how easy that was for him. The Snorlax obviously wanted to reach some kind of sanctuary. Which meant we were in proper danger. Then the floor rumbled again. The Pokémon continued to cry out. What on earth was happening? I held onto the rock for dear life as the ground gave way. Riley fell. I couldn’t tell what happened to Baron. Too much was happening. I gripped harder and harder against the cavern wall. “Riley!” I called. Then realised that I was slipping. I would fall soon. I tried reaching for my belt with my elbow. I had to get to Rhyperior’s ball. But I couldn’t free my hands.
———— Robin
The cry pierced our ears once again. This was like nothing I had ever seen, and I had seen a lot. Pidgeot raced towards the opening. Whatever we were heading for wouldn’t be welcoming. It hadn’t been so far. This whole island was screaming for us to leave.

As we approached the volcano a sudden blue burst of light poured out of every hole of the structure for a moment. It was followed by yet another, much clearer cry. As we entered through one of the holes it was a large hollow interior with a large section in the middle falling through. Carl was noticeably in a tight situation. "Robin, save your friend!" I shouted pointing at the man sliding into the darkness below.
I saw Baron nervously pacing near an exit. Where was Riley?
There was a low, breathing rumble deep within the cavern below. I could feel its attention, whatever was in the darkness below was the source of the cries.

Pidgeot swooped over to Carl grabbing him in her talons and then quickly set him down near Baron. The ground seemed a bit more solid there. Pidgeot wobbled a bit with the weight of three humans but managed that quick trip. “Carl where’s Riley?”
Carl looked dazed from his experience but managed to point down the hole. The hole where the sound was coming from. We had to go in, even if our pilot had not survived the fall. I gazed at the hole myself, it wasn’t very inviting.

I sigh and hop off. "There's not much I can do to help you with whatever is down there, Robin. I'm sorry." I stand next to Baron and comfort the poor pokemon. "Go save Riley." I said, fully accepting the other possibility mentally. I sighed sadly, I hoped he was fine; Riley was a great friend these past years. Without Captain, I wasn't confident in my ability to assist with whatever monster was waiting for us.
The cries had stopped for now but the heavy breathing was still very audible.

I nod. “If you’re sure.” Pidgeot looked down and then glanced at Carl. He jumped aboard without asking, he didn’t need to. “See you in a bit then. Hopefully with our pilot.” I tapped Pidgeot’s head and we were off once again.
“We have a fight on our hands,” said Carl. He steadied himself just as Pidgeot swooped downward. “Riley caught a Snorlax just before the cavern opened up.”
“He caught a Snorlax? Nice. Those aren’t easy.”

The hollowed cavern was completely dark at the bottom with only minimal light entering the top. A large presence loomed in the darkness making itself known through its low, humming breaths. The air was swirled powerfully around the walls of the pocket in the volcano. "Snor-" A nervous cry came from the darkness, likely directed towards the new-comers to the pit. A large Snorlax rolled onto his side and revealed an unconscious Riley.
The cavern shook as a cry pierced through the air yet again. A bright blue light filled the cavern, yet there seemed to be no attack. It was for only a brief second and then the light was extinguished. Just long enough for one to take in the sheer size of the pokemon within the room with them. Nearly every inch of the pit they were not standing in was inhabited by a giant beast lying on its side, watching the humans from the dark.
