"The name is Xochitl, Elder Avanero. Nice to meet you."
"I am heading to R'lyeh. I come from Mictlan."
A strange chittering sound, like bone against bone, comes from the nervous Xochitl. How does one cover up being a Tzitzimitl-- a skeleton, in common words? "I am tall and very skinny. We in Mictlan eat very simply, as you know." A somewhat strange giggle comes from behind the hood. "I am very pale, almost snow white, and have hazel eyes. I am wearing a light brown cloak and gloves. Under the cloak I wear a simple tan shirt and pants, as well as dark brown leather boots."
"In my possession, I have several coins and a.. Erm, bone. Not that I'd need it for replacements or anything, it's just a good luck amulet." He pauses. "That's it, I suppose. I guess you can say I'm travelling light. I'm a light person myself!"
"I am a practitioner of magic. I have spent two 'points' in Evocation and one in Enchantment."
You are a practitioner of the Evocation and Enchantment school of magic
Enchantment: Fire: Apply a flaming effect to your weapons. Can easily burn the flesh of horrors or men without armor. Has no use underwater
Evocation: Falling fire: A simple fire spell. Burns in a moderate radius Falling frost: A simple water spell. Freezes in a moderate radius Blade wind: Makes the air cut like blades Thuderstrike. A simple lightning spell. Strikes a very small area for high magic damage. Cuts through armor.
The old man thanks you for your time, and sees you off before eventually heading off on his own. Eventually, he is out of sight, and you are further on your way to the legendary underwater realm of R'lyeh. Not many knew of the existence of this kingdom, and for good reason. It feel in to ruin and was scrubbed from most history books many hundreds of years ago. You, however, found it's location and decided it'd be a good idea to come visit. A few days of walking brings you to a beach. The waters here are dark and murky, and you can't see much past the shoreline.

Xochitl casually takes off his cloak and wraps his pouch on the upper part of its femur bone. It approaches the shoreline, looking around. Xochitl does not know why it has come here, though it could be because living, or rather being undead in Mictlan has driven it mad with desire to find the gods of old, possibly be evaporated and have its bones spread across twenty one tribes. Either way, it is here now and it has no other option but to find R'lyeh. Seeing as it had no lungs, it would not need any amulets or powers to survive underwater. Slowly, Xochitl took its first step in the murky, dark water.

You dive into the watery darkness, and swim downwards. You have no skin, or lungs, or ears for the pressures of the deep to effect, which is helpful. You do feel like your bones may come apart and float to the surface, but the magic holding your body together is stronger than the forces attempting to pull it apart. You eventually come across some old stone ruins, the remnants of what looked to be a grand civilization. There are devices, metal ones, scattered about that you don't recognize, and weapons lining the walls. Sharp, pointy weapons.

Xochitl swims nonchalantly in the hellish water, hoping its bones don't fall apart. Upon seeing the ruins, it approaches them and looks around. It looks right and left before slowly approaching them and observing whatever's left here. After looking around, it approaches the weapons lining the walls and tries to discern what they are. It's not sure what use a weapon is to it if it knows how to use magic, but these weapons are shiny and Xochitl knows shiny means good. Most of the time.

They seem like simple weapons. Swords, spears, etc. They don't quite match with of everything else around these ruins, but they seem nice enough regardless. However, through a crack in the wall, you spot something. A knife, sitting on a pedestal. It seems rather important.

Xochitl's jaw begins chattering in excitement almost as soon as it sees the knife. It reaches his skeletal hand through the crack and attempts to take it. While this object may be cursed, it's shiny and Xochitl is dead anyway.

Your boney fingers barely manage to grab hold of the knife, and you pull it out through the crack. It is made of a sort of black metal that you are not familiar with, and accented with silver. The handle appears to be in the shape of a claw, and the blade has strange markings on it.

Xochitl looks at it in glee before putting it in his pouch. This shiny was his now! For now, at least. It advances through the ruins.

You continue to press further into the ruins. You notice more odd formations and metals you've never seen before. In the distance you spot mermen. They appear to be working on something, but the murky waters make it unclear as to what.

Xochitl approaches the mermen. While he isn't exactly walking out in the open, he isn't hiding either. The fun thing about being a skeleton is that if you stay very still people will just think you're a long forgotten corpse. So thats what Xochitl does. After feeling he has gotten close enough, he pretends to be lifeless bones.

A sentient force of this size would spot your approach almost instantly, but these fish people seemed odd. They did nothing but work. They moved stone from place to place with no rest and no pause, as if that was all they were capable of doing.

Xochitl abandons his, erm, stealthy approach and walks up to the mermen. What were they doing?

Their eyes were glazed over, and they did nothing but work. If one fish died, another took his place without a second thought. They seemed to be repairing the ruins.

They all looked pretty sad and dead. This made Xochitl even more sad and dead. He walked away from the dreadful scene, skull down. Perhaps he could find friendlier company deeper in the dangerous life I threatening dark murky waters.

As you press onward, you spot little else but ruins and more merpeople. Suddenly, your progress is brought to a halt. A horrible tentacle monster rises from deeper in the water
"WHAT IS YOUR PURPOSE HERE?" The creature didn't seem to talk with a mouth, but instead opened communications with you via your mind.

Xochitl grins. Or tries to. You're always grinning when you're all bones. "I have come to explore R'lyeh and worship its great god!" He says.

"Please? I will worship him and fulfill his demands forever. If it is your wish that I leave, then I will do so." Xochitl is suicidal.

"Okay, I will." The skeleton runs off and makes his way towards the shore as fast as possible.

"IT DOES NOT RETURN THE ARTIFACT! KILL IT!"
A multitude of the same tentacle monsters came up from behind the second one and begin pursuing you

Xochitl uses his magic to summon lightning and thunder upon his enemies. It really hopes this works. If it doesn't, it'll have to commit suicide. Which doesn't sound half bad, now that Xochitl thinks about it.

Your lightning hits one of the monsters, killing it and electrifying an area of water around it, killing a couple more that cross through the electricity

Xochitl moves his arms and hands like a maestro, pulling the lightning dramatically towards the other monsters. He surely couldn't kill all of them, but he'd have to wait for an opening to escape.
