Xochitl creates a wall of lightning to give him time and makes a run for it.

The wall dissipates rather quickly, but you're already long gone by the time the water stops being electrified. You safely reach shore, just as the sun begins to rise

Xochitl looks for his cloak first-- He can't go walking around like this. Once he has it on, he pauses to look at the dagger but makes sure he's at a safe distance from the water.

You peer at the blade. You can see your skeletal reflection off of the knife's black metal, so much so that it seems as if you're looking into a mirror

Xochitl puts the knife in his pouch and let's the winds drag him, literally, to another kingdom. Who knows what awaits him next?

The wind directs you northeast. Well, more specifically, a very angry midget with a cart full of meat directs you in the opposite direction of him when you come to a fork in the road. These roads are as barren as always, but things get more and more forested as you continue along. You begin to hear noises, and see shapes swinging from trees. The trees get more and more dense until you can barely see the road a few hundred feet behind you.

Xochitl is fairly spooked by this forest, but no mere shapes shall stop him from finding a God to worship! He is a brave skeleton, despite his chittering jaw. The mage pushes on, pulling the cloak tighter over his body.

You come to a large clearing of very tall grass. The figures in the trees stop and stare and you, waiting to see if you'll push through

The skeleton bravely pushes on through the clearing, hoping he makes it through intact.

The grass behind you begins to light on fire. The shadows still stay where they are

Xochitl decides his best option is to run. As fast as it can. And possibly boost itself with magic.

The fire spreads fast, enveloping nearly the whole field. It forms a circle around you, killing you instantly sealing off all your ability to escape

Xochitl looks around in bewilderment. Should he cast an ice shield or not? All he wanted to do was make friends and find a new god to serve.

You hear a voice rise up from the fire. It is beautiful, and alluring, and as if someone was singing to you.
"Why are you here, bony one?"

An opening in the fire presents itself, and a very large lizard with beautiful scales that glistened in the sun crawled through. It was surrounded by a number of fierce looking monkey guards.
"You're here to worship our gods?" The scaly creature asks

"And where is it that you hail from, Xo-Xoch... Xochitl?" The great serpent manages trip over your name, it's questioning tone seeming to be both for it's original question, and to ask if it got your name right

"Interesting..."
The fire subsists, and no trace off it can be seen anywhere. None of the tall grass is burnt in the slightest, and it looks as if nothing happened.
"Come with me, skeleton."
The serpent begins to slither off in the opposite direction, it's monkey guards falling in close behind.

The skeleton trots along happily, making sure his objects are still with him. He sure is excited to see how this is going to end.
