Eternally locked in a prison cell. No hope of escape, no noise, no nothing. Just an eternal drift through the Void, forced to endure the knowledge that the Great War was lost, and the universe was at peace. There would be no more conflicts against a being of higher position in the grand scheme of things, as the gateway to losing everything was closed, permitting life in the universe to thrive and grow. But after a millenia of being trapped in an empty abyss of blackness, a noise was heard. The sound of a glass like material shattering. The Crystal One smiled.
The Gateway would rise.

The Universe was a dangerous place. The great mass of Everything proved to be both the Beginning and the End as even the most developed of species struggle to survive in this great collection of galaxies, containing even more star systems, which bore the responsibility of stars, moons, planets, the like. Sentient creatures fight among themselves in the constant battle to have enough food and other resources.
Few empires rise now, as the Universe is already dominated by great nations spanning over multiple galaxies at a time. The minor countries are steamrolled as more powerful forces demolish them, assimilating them into their empire. There are even some who possess the power to psychically control others, and as technology advances some are even gaining the power to destroy planets and forge stars.
However, a greater threat looms over the horizon as an ancient force awakens from it's slumber, shaking off it's sleep and rising to instate vengeance against those that defeated it many years ago. The awakening begins as a pulse of energy is released in a galaxy near the inner portions of the universe, sending signals to all parts of the galaxy.
Rules
#1. The basic roleplay rules. If you don't know them, I guarantee you will not be accepted.
#2. Obey admins. At the current time, I am the ONLY admin. Admins will be appointed as I see fit.
#3. OP empires will not be accepted. They must be balanced.
