Hopeful dreams melded into my conscious thoughts as I awakened slowly. Blankets that were slightly too hot for that morning were strewn on me, and a warm and happy, albeit fat, cat was asleep on my feet. Finally, I opened my blurry eyes. Blinking sleep away, I squinted at the lighting. Judging by how dark it was, it couldn't be any more than seven or eight, yet I looked at my clock, and it was nine. Overcast, I acknowledged, then went to work on rubbing my eyes. When I was done, I noticed the sound of rain, the soft pitter patter that could turn into a relaxing downpour in less than a minute. I laid there for minutes, enjoying the muted sound of rain.
Suddenly, I felt a tickle on my left arm. My eyes flew open, and what they saw marked a reminder of a battle that hadn't ended. My right hand quickly squeezed the tiny black bug between my thumb and forefinger before it could jump. I squirmed out of bed and clumsily tiptoed to the bathroom in a hurry. Holding my hand over the sink, I let loose my grip just a smidgen. It was still alive- It was squirming. I held close my fingers tighter than ever and began to hover my left hand by the faucet knob. Holding my fingers directly below the faucet, I turned on the water and let it go over my fingers for a bit, before I slowly let go of the wretched parasite. Once I was satisfied that the bug had been drowned, I washed my hands as thoroughly as I could.
TL;DR: Try as you might, you cannot flea from your problems
