Never even really thought it to be a thing. Makes sense, but I never thought about it until I saw an albino crow today. Wish I had gotten a picture but I was driving & spooked it. Definitely wasn't a pigeon, which is really the only white bird I've seen in Indiana. (Aside from seagulls at beaches, of course.)
Was nifty as hell but weird at the same time. Would've just figured it was a pigeon, but unless it had gotten a treadmill & slimmed down I don't think it was, not to mention that it was chilling with a regular, black crow.
Just thought it worth sharing. Reaaaaally wish I had gotten a photo QQ

Did you take any photographs? Albinos would have red eyes as well as being completely white.

Nah, unfortunately not. As soon as I noticed it my car had spooked it off. I know there's white crows (After looking into it) but not in Indiana, I don't think.

Oh, seeing as you're online, I have a question for you because you know stuff about historic alcoholic beverages (mead, at least, from what I remember). In some books that I've been reading (The Kingkiller Chronicles by Patrick Rothfuss and The Once and Future King by T.H. White) the characters drink something called metheglyn or metheglin. Do you know what that is?

I think that's a particular type of mead, purely honey maybe with some spices but no fruit or flavoring like that.
Also gonna guess it has some type of meth-like medication in it, like how Coke used to be, but that's a blind guess based purely on the name.
Of course, mead has all sorts of random ass names, like how raspberry mead is technically called a mellomel

Or maybe not even medication, per say, like how real absinthe will make you hallucinate from w/e drug/chemical is in it.

Like, you could, theoretically, have a strawberry mellomel, or an elderberry mellomel?

That may be very true, raspberry is just the only berry flavor I've made, and I was confused when the recipe called it that.

My favorite type of alcohol, especially the mellomels. It's like wine in a lot of ways, but typically a wee bit stronger & a much wider variety of flavors.
Can't ever find any around here, unfortunately. Liquor stores in Texas had whole aisles dedicated to mead, but I can't even find a bottle in Indiana D:
