Buddy & I were looking for good 2-player games, and this piqued our interest. The UI was wasaaay too damn small though, so I'vI've just been playing it SP.
Idk how I feel about it. It feels like a more complex Minecraft so far. With dinosaurs. Anyone have any insight/knowledge of it?

I’ve used to play quite a bit with friends, mainly on console though so our experiences might vary. The UI is always annoyingly small. Now it really depends what sort of experience you’re going for. If you’re aiming for PvP, which most of the main servers revolve around you’re looking at a lengthy commitment to remain relavent.
However, if you’re playing on a private server, which is all I’ve ever done, you won’t face that issue as much. I would make some quality of life tweaks to the server so it stays bearable. Stuff like increasing taming speed. It’s just because it’s a real grind. Taming better Dinos can take an age at time. And it’s incredibly annoying to have the level 40 T-Rex you’ve spent an hour taming to be killed by raptors. Honestly, raptors suck. Like suckity suck. Especially Alpha Raptors.
It’s a game that’s a lot more fun with friends. Otherwise it begins to feel like a chore. Some of mine were freaks and played for ages on their own. I went crazy the one time I was on by myself. Like proper in-game suicidal picking a fight with anything that came my way. Which usually ended up with me losing a couple Dinos. Or you end up spending hours making narcotics without anything to use them on.
It can be fun though. As I said with friends. It’s very goal based. You choose what sort of resource you want to collect or which Dino you want to tame and then set out on that adventure. And after leaning on those better players you end up with a nice herd of Dinos and resources. There’s quite a few Dinos to collect. There’s quite a lot of resources that you need. If you’re into grinds it’s a good game, if a little unrefined.
