this is kinda dead, or at least the OoC (aka the only thing I was interested in) is
and I (finally) found a new community that really felt like home that i could be a part of
so
I'm gonna be pretty inactive here, much like I have been already.
I'll still check in every once in a while, but for the most part, unless this place magically has a gigantic surge of new growth and activity, count me out of whatever's going on here.

It’s unfortunate that you feel the need to leave but I absolutely understand. This place, or at least the OOC portion, isn’t active anymore. It’s funny that people would always complain about the amount of OOC here and on Roblox, but it was that rather than RPs that made us a community. I’ve noticed that even when an OOC thread starts it gets a couple of replies but then nothing after which annoys me as well. I’d much rather have a discussion than write a couple of paragraphs that never get a reply (see any recent OOC thread).
But there aren’t enough people left to really have a discussion anymore. They’ve either found a place on the Discord or somewhere else. Not their fault, people move on all the time. But it is frustrating.
Anyway, have a good time with your new community. And good luck with any of your future ventures.

It's sad to see you go, but you are right in that there isn't that much OOC, and you were always an OOCer and not an RPer. I wish you the best of luck with your future endeavours and hope that you're true to your word and stop by occasionally.
To piggyback slightly off of what Duck said, this is the first post about how there's not enough OOC that I've ever seen here. Unfortunately, we just don't have enough people for OOC. I think that you being the only person to sign up for the secret santa may have been the last nail in the coffin for me ever thinking that we'll be as active as we were two years ago, when we were still complaining about inactivity. I suspect that it's partially my fault, for prioritising RPing at the expense of maintaining the OOC part of the site.
I'll always fondly remember you as a friend, alongside many others that I've known here. I hope that you can think of the rest of us, mostly also gone, in the same light.

You’d expect it to be the other way around but OOC needs more people than RPs do. You need people willing to have multiple conversations and the like as OOC threads should come and go rather frequently. However, you can maintain a single RP thread for quite some time with only a couple of people.
It’s ironic in a sense. The people who wanted there to be less OOC and more RP left, but in doing so they killed the OOC side of the forum.

A good 40% of all OOC was people complaining about the amount of OOC. Once we lost that, the OOC began to die out.

You need people willing to have multiple conversations and the like as OOC threads should come and go rather frequently. However, you can maintain a single RP thread for quite some time with only a couple of people. It’s ironic in a sense. The people who wanted there to be less OOC and more RP left, but in doing so they killed the OOC side of the forum. I guess they got what they wanted. |

This is what I've been doing since my very short return here ended. I'm not really into RP anymore, and the loss of OoC gives me no real reason to stay, so I'm in this boat also (just checking in is actually what I was doing.)
