It came back today.
I got a 416 out of 430 points, with a 14 point reduction only for some grammatical and APA citation errors. If I was graded on content alone, I'd have gotten 100%.
...
Remind me why I worked so hard when I submitted a paper that was obvious C-grade on it's content? I mean seriously, at time I was literally fucking ranting. 60% of that paper was sheer padding and most of that padding made no sense or was even remotely related to the paper's topic.

Just keep your head down and move on. Don't complain that you should have gotten a lower grade or your teacher will do just that.

No need to worry about that, it's an online class and I mean, I'll take an A if you wanna give an A.
It's just that I put in a lot of anxiety and worry and desparation into that paper and an A just falls into my lap so easily. It felt like I wasted my time.

Maybe it was way better than you thought it was.

Yeah... No.
I'm sending a PM with the paper attached to you (Not posting it since my name's on the paper and that's something I'd prefer to keep to just a few people I can trust) and you can see just how bad it was.
Seriously, it was a paper I made while sick and started and finished it the day it was due.
EDIT: And apparently not since it doesn't seem like I can attach things

Yeah, you were right. For anyone wondering, here's the first two sentences after the abstract:
"It is very difficult to keep in touch with how the world changes. If the world were to see a sudden growth in evil souls possessing teddy bears, how would one know?"

By the way, death rates of children would skyrocket and as such sales of teddy-bears would decrease dramatically.

Firstly, congrats on the mark, whether you feel you deserve it or not.
It’s entirely possible that you did a lot better than you thought. It’s something that has happened to me a few times. I worry about an assignment, put a lot of work into it but still feel bad when I hand it in. But then I get a good mark for it, or a better mark than I thought I would.
Or you met the criteria of the assignment to an extent where your marker could not mark you down if they wanted. Markers mark to a criteria so that they may give fair results. You lost some points on your referencing but you didn’t lose any on the clarity of your argument. That said I’m not sure if that’s how they mark for you so I could be completely wrong,
