I have a sample of dried ethanal (CH₃CHO) and I want to test for ethanol (CH₃CH₂OH) and ethanoic acid (CH₃COOH) in it. What one reagent can I use to test for either ethanol or ethanoic acid, and what observation would I see if either are present in my ethanal?

Edit: Please help ASAP. Like, today, if possible.
