I read it at around 9:00PM after having dinner with my mother and having a couple glasses of wine too many and it messed me up. It's now nearly 4:00AM. I have to be up for something by around 9:00 or 9:30AM. Is it worth it to try to sleep now or should I just stay up?

I've pulled several all nighters and let me tell you even having two hours of sleep felt better than no sleep.

I ended up falling asleep at sunrise and sleeping for an hour or two, and I'm already exhausted at 6:00PM. Honestly I think that this all-nighter is going to end up fixing my sleep, not breaking it.

I'd actually have to disagree there, though I'm sure it just comes down to different strokes for different folks. Personally, it's much easier for me to stay up 24 hours than it is to wake up early, regardless of the length of my slumber, and I actually will end up feeling worse with very little vs. getting none at all. Law of Inertia and all that.

Law of Inertia and all that. And honestly speaking, it feels like hell when I wake up after only sleeping for a few hours. However, that's just for the first quarter of an hour. After that I'll be up and running like no time. However, spending the day with no sleep causes issues all day, so it's a much worse scenario in the long term scale. Of course, I could just be a weird person.
