My D&D character is going to die in < an hour from now

I had to leave the session early, but the DM is taking care of everything in my absence. I am going to die because I betrayed my whole “team.”

Now I say “team” because we weren’t even sided to begin with. I had my character follow in my partner’s footsteps and take his side, so I followed this other team to help me help this god that isn’t a fan of this party either, by going to an island and retrieving a sword that blocked the god from opening portals to the island. The sword opens a seal which also gives said god powers from a different god.

Now upon the reveal of the betrayal, this whole “team” hates me and told me that they will kill me first before they kill the god. (All of the fight will be happening at once.)

So rip Nialau, 2017-2018, And time to reroll a new character.

Internally, I will be grieving.

Good news I guess.
Nialau isn’t dead yet.
And now I have two characters out on the playing field.
They’ll never know what will hit them when I lay down my trap card!
