I just was overcome by a weird sensation where I remembered that I wrote and published some officially-sanctioned Wizard101 fanfiction when I was thirteen. It was literally just a paragraph. This is the link to a bunch of submissions that were selected for publication, and mine was one of them. I can comfortably say that mine was by a significant margin not the worst of the published paragraphs, but I think that my writing nowadays is better than it was then by a significant margin. Hell, I think mine may have actually been the best of the "published" works simply due to it not containing any grammatical errors, and due to it almost including a subtle Sherlock Holmes reference that of course 13-year-old me fucked up.

My first published work earned me a whopping $4 in a few years. I feel like I've mentioned it before, but using Amazon'solely' KDP program is decently easy to "officially" become published.
