"Well it looks like you're at least on our side, and that's what counts," the man says as he walks behind you. "You'll have to pardon the Ascendant who attacked you earlier this morning. After all, we're near the front lines and we were expecting a Vikar attack soon. We were all a little on edge, and when the Vikars showed signs of attacking earlier than we thought they would, well..."
He unties you, giving you free movement. You probably shouldn't tell him that you could've easily have broken out of those ropes, as it'd brake the poor man's spirits. After all, humans really don't stand a chance against an Ascendant, not even with numbers.
"The numbers aren't great. We've a small contingent here of about sixty that the Mikalzars sent ahead of the next unit, not to mention our own Ascendant, Freia, the Ascendant of the God of the Ephemeral. The rest of the Mikalzar unit that was on it's way to intercept the Vikars are a half day's distance from us. The attackers are around a hundred fifty Vikars. Last I checked, Freia is regrouping what men we have left over at the town square in the center of Danth. I don't know what happened though; Regardless of the difference in numbers, Freia could still have likely won the battle by now if she had just half of our number. There were no signs of an Ascendant, but if Freia hasn't won this by now, one may have shown itself out of hiding. What do you plan to do, 'Tearu?' No one here is going to force you into a fight."

"I'm going to the town square of course! If Freia was there, I'd better go too. She needs every help in the town."
I stretch my body and look towards the sky(is it day or night?)
"Well then, which way is the town square, good man?"

"Well then, which way is the town square, good man?" Looking up only reveals a ceiling. It's quite well done, actually. "Follow me. Careful, the rest of us weren't sure of your affinity. You may need to find some way to assure the other Mikalzars that you're on our side," the man replies as he opens the door. He opens the door, letting sunlight flow in. While a bit blinding at first, this quickly clears away and reveals a small scale battle going on. One side has men in light armor with green scarves and red cloaks, these would be the Mikalzars. The other side is heavily and well armed and armored, wearing white tabards with gold embroidery on the edge, some even wearing capes of the same color scheme. This would be the Vikars. The sound of roaring men can be heard in the distance to the East of your position. That must be where the town square is. You begin to hear weird sounds that wouldn't be natural in a fight. It seems the man's theory that Freia was under attack by another Ascendant holds some credibility.

I need to help Freia as soon as possible. I thought of walking towards the East when suddenly I recalled my companion's words. I had to earn their trust and prove that I'm a Mikalzar, maybe I should help the people here quickly then go to help Freia, after all it seems like we are the losing side here.
"Hang in there, Freia" I muttered to myself.
Then I transformed my right arm into a giant sword made of steel, and started running towards the nearest group of Vikars to slay them, I targeted their necks for faster results.
Then I transformed my left arm to a big round shield, in case one of these idiots tried to attack me.

The group you targeted contains roughly ten of the Vikars, ganging up on only three Mikalzars. Your sword fells one of them, and does a hell of a job grabbing the rest of their attentions. Namely the one with a spear with a cape, the cape being a sign telling you that this man was one of the Vikar officers. He panics and orders the men to form a line around you. Evidently his idea is to take you down with bee stings like some kind of a mammoth. Rather unfortunate that there's never been a case of humans defeating Ascendants in the past.

So they're surrounding me like a circle? How funny! I laughed loudly as I jumped into the air spreading my wings and started flying upwards, I quickly transformed both of my arms to long chains before anyone could aim at me, then I targeted their officer - the one with the cape - alongside the one beside him, captured them both with my chains and threw them in the air as far as I could.
Without their officer, they won't be able to fight properly or organize any dangerous attacks, I think.
Finally after flying for a couple of meters above the ground, I returned downwards to the nearest warrior, smashing his head with my right arm which I had transformed to a giant mace. I then proceeded to grab warriors by my chain-arm and kill them with my mace-arm.
I need to finish my job here quickly, I thought.
