This poem is pretty much dedicated to the far future that will come sooner than it currently seems.

You do know that sentimentality towards the past is a major part of the romantic movement, right? Sure, I may be conflating the term as it's understood today with how it was used during the days of Byron and Shelly, but my point still stands.
