You don’t knave to know anything To know who I am; I don’t need anyone To tell me I’m lonely— Alone. By myself I don’t need Anyone or anything else To tell me how I Should fix my life and such But all this and nothing I’m safe here wanting But not caring. I’m lonely— Alone. My tears Mourn for her And her brown hair; I once saw her there, Now my future’s not as bright. Take it in slower: slowly: Not at all wanting Or needing, saying, “I’m lonely, Home.”

This poem is pretty much dedicated to the far future that will come sooner than it currently seems.
I wish you all luck.

My tears Mourn for her And her brown hair; I once saw her there, Now my future’s not as bright. With anyone else I'd say that that's a rather nice verse, but given that you're you, I feel as though I'm first obliged to ask if this is about anyone who we both know from this community.

You do know that sentimentality towards the past is a major part of the romantic movement, right? Sure, I may be conflating the term as it's understood today with how it was used during the days of Byron and Shelly, but my point still stands.
