Simeon's story(unfinished and completely optional reading) docs.google.com/document/d/1maMAKld_jJYJ1_HkxyuxCWLltLW2dOUMD0q6l0msIAM
(Simeon's tale happens in the eastern continent although mostly in the southern part with Verano and the Heartlands)
This takes place 400 years prior to Simeon's story on the western continent, in which only seven kingdoms rule due to the landmass being mostly uninhabitable mountains.
The seven cities of Westeria have always known they stood at a precarious position, in between the daemon isles to the east and inhabitable mountains to the west, in such vicious conditions great kingdoms have risen while the weak have fallen in their decadence, now these few powers stand at the wake of the largest daemon invasion ever recalled by mortal eyes. In these times daemons invade and people try to rise in the chaos. Some desire power, fame and glory while others simply want peace to return to their home.
I do not know who you are, not do I truly care.
What does matter is you are here in the western continent and here you will either die in vain or die a legend.
The Seven Cities:
Brutabrex: It is a city ruled by ghouls, sea beasts and terrible images said to be as old as the land itself. Claiming to be the successors to a ancient undead empire forgotten by time. As well they're not kind to mortals within their borders they do not hesitate to leave their own and invade their neighbors.
Ralge: The Ralge River has always been a hotspot to raiders and the nomads of the mountains. Now it is the playground of Trasin, who are said to be descended from the frost giants of the past who’s arrival meant a shift in power among the seven cities. Ralge is the inland capital of their vast nomadic empire where laws are optional and rule is by the sword
Sergius: A naval city of many islands brought together through bridges and ferries, as well home to people who live on boats for their entire life. It is said the natives of these lands can breath like a fish and swim among them, some even becoming rich by the treasures under the sea.
Dundar:Built upon the abandoned castle of Isley Dundar was once a thriving kingdom noted for its hardworking people and scheming goblinfolk has been reduced to a walled city under constant siege from the daemon invasion, if you are not a solider or a fool it is unlikely you would come here.
Ralnam: A famed republic made up of a single extremely wealthy city forever trapped in between a small mountain pass, despite it’s towers of gold and streets of silver, it’s citizens still fear the beasts that roam in the mountain side in the night.
Duzzog: Home to a large community of secretive plotting wizards who aside from them and their slaves live alone, Duzzog is a town that has reached almost mythical notions with every last mortal venturing into the misty city in hopes of learning magic for themselves
Zuknan: A theocracy that believes that the daemons have only arrived on the orders of their strange gods, for centuries Zuknan has tried to spread their religion through war and peace but they have always failed, although a zealous warrior has taken throne in these times of chaos and even the wise wonder what she has planned.
Gifts from the Gods
For whatever reason the gods saw you worthy of a blessing pick one of these from this short list.
Ozorro's Revival: Ozorro famed god of the afterlife will bring you from the brink of death once ( At HP:1 mind you)
Gift of Kolva: Kolva the goddess of wealth presents you with a sizable bundle of the local currency to aid you in your travels
Mark of the Trickster: Pip the God of Trickery and Dice games has blessed you with extreme luck in your adventures (lots of random bonuses, mostly to dice rolls)
The Blessing of the Accursed: A random god has sent you a magic scroll for your troubles
You arrive at one of the seven cities and are soon met with a guard blocking your way looking you and down before smirking.
"Visitor hm? With all these thieves running in and out lately your going to need to answer a few questions."
"What is your name?"
"How would you describe yourself and what do you have on you?" (Appearance and starting inventory. trait not included)
"Where are you from and Why have you come here? " (backstory and goal during the roleplay)
"That settles it, I guess now you are a citizen of our nation. May the gods bless you."
The gods have blessed you haven't they? What gift have you chosen?
