Okay guys, I want to write this up soon, but to know what it is that I need to write up first, I'll want to know what characters you guys are thinking of playing. Just, tell me the vague concept, not necessarily a drawn-out backstory, and I'll start writing to accommodate that before I begin writing everything else.

Come on, guys. I need something to go on so that I know what to spend my time writing first. If everyone wants to play as noblemen it would be a waste of time to start by writing a thousand words about the peasantry, and vice versa. Other similar things apply as well. Now I'm it. Tag, you're it now. Also, I'm going to use this as an excuse to take a quick detour about how Australian slang is weird. My mother and her parents and my second cousins on that side are all Australian (my maternal uncle has no kids, so no first cousins on that side), and I knew lots of Australian kids growing up, so I'm qualified to talk about it. Anyway, they call the game "tiggy" and sometimes say "you're in" instead of "you're it", if I'm remembering correctly. |

What was the general that you came up with earlier? You don't remember it? I think it was somewhere about page 2-4 on this thread. Basically, a general who serves a dragon lord in doing whatever the hell the dragon lord needs a human general for. |

I kind of like the idea of being a ferry captain who used to be in a navy.

It provides you with a good excuse to go to various places throughout the world, and an easy way for you to interact with other characters: "Oh, I need a boat and Duck just conveniently happens to be docked here right now. I'll go on his boat." |

I was wondering if you wanted a middle-aged person or an old person; middle-aged would definitely be easier for me because that's twenty to forty fewer years of history that I need to write. |

My current version of the Table of Contents of the RP is in the spoiler below. I plan on writing ten to fifteen paragraphs on most of the "chapters", and adding more locations, etc. as the RP progresses.

It is very hard to find time to write when I'm in the mood to write. That said, I managed to write 2,000 words today (if I count paragraphs that I wrote then threw out because I didn't like them, which is about half of what I wrote). That is the chapter on Orevod and the Table of Contents. Even just this significantly shortened version of the RP is going to be very, very long.

I'm considering cutting out even more material in the short term and just posting it by Friday with only Orevod and Eredal as playable locations and editing it over the course of the next two to three weeks to include everything else that I want to include. It is hard to make different places feel different in more ways than just them having different names, but I've done a bit of work on that for these two kingdoms and I think that it might get easier once I ease into the RPing of the world.
That said, I do want to also include Kraken Island in the OP, and have a large contiguous RP area (that is, you can walk in-RP from anywhere to anywhere else and I have it fleshed out), but the way I have it in my head right now (which is also different to what I have on both maps) Elusia is located between Eredal and the Kraken Coast. I also want Winterpond to be in the OP, and once again, the North is fairly noncontiguous with the rest of what I've fleshed out of the map.
I might at the very least end up posting everything that I have so far on a thread in the fantasy board so that you guys can begin the actual CS writing process. I really don't know what I'm going to do yet, but I might reach a decision once I finish my latest write-up of the Spiderwood Forest.
