(This thread will eventually be moved to a sub-board as soon as they're fixed. This is an ISRP.)
All of the channels had been discussing the same thing: Heroes.
Quite recently, a series of mysterious, unexplained disasters had fallen, with entire city blocks being decimated without any sign of an earthquake, bad weather or even a bomb. The news channels, after the stories concerning what little was known of the disaster's cause ran out, began to record and report about firemen saving children from the burning wreckage and strangers housing large numbers of the survivors. They were all called heroes.
But is that enough to be a hero? Is the title something that could be truly added without the strength to cement it? Without superpowers?
What were you kidding yourself about? There's no such thing as superpowers.
Time to get your head out of the comic books.
You received a call from a friend of yours, asking you to hang out. Without a thought, you wander into the starry night. Hold on, it's still six. Sure it can be night quite early in the winter, but stars don't shine this early, and not in the city of Tacoma where there was so much light pollution.
You look up as the light shines brighter and brighter, and then suddenly it disappears. Weird, right?
Welcome to Origin, the Powers ISRP that puts your character into their own origin story. The primary goal of Origin is discovery of your power, your limits and the new world you're waking up to. Oh yeah, and quite obviously, you get a superpower. However, in order to put that in line with the discovery element, your power is decided by me via the A / B system.
In short, you have ten points to spend as you wish between A and B. You must spend all ten points, and you cannot spend more. The meaning of A and B will be revealed in time, but for now it's purpose is to help the randomization of your superpower, and so that meaning will remain hidden. Do not worry about having a balance between A and B, since the scores do not determine the strength of your superpower. In short, a person with 10a 0b can be just as strong as someone with 0a 10b, 5a 5b, 7a 3b, and so on.
The setting is modern day America in the city of Tacoma, Washington. Your character is allowed to be anything except a grade level lower than a high school freshman and older than 60. So long as you are in that range, you're golden to be whatever.
I ain't really gonna talk about rules. At this point you should know the basics ones, so as long as you're being a decent human being, you're good. I already told you all you need to know about filling out the cs.
