Looking good so far for both sides. A good counter or a mistake will turn it. Tik has two very powerful Bishops which could cause trouble though you have his queen pretty well wrapped (though it isn’t a lost cause).
Will play you both post-20th Jan when I get internet back.

... Should've suspected it when you encouraged me. Haha, I made that mistake a lot earlier in my chess career as well. The queen is the most powerful piece, but you can't send her in alone into the well-fortified enemy side of the board. Yeah, I just saw a chance and tried pushing it. I mean, I foresaw losing the queen at some point in a few of the scenarios, especially the one I considered worst case, but...

There was a way to save a queen? I tried but couldn't find it and opted for kamikaze.

Don't fret about it too much. You're getting better every game, and you actually know how to play (not just how to move the pieces), which is good. Practice more against people slightly better than you and you'll improve no matter what you do. Losing in chess is just a learning experience.

I assume that you'll be going for a pawn genocide on my side of the board with your rook?

I assume that you'll be going for a pawn genocide on my side of the board with your rook? I've gotten myself into the position to do it, but really I don't wanna risk it with that triple attack you've got going on at C6

C6 looks very interesting. You both have triples but Tim needs to go first.

I don’t know if Tim will commit it all on this so the counter shouldn’t be to difficult.

You'll notice, earlier, when I moved my pawn to e6, that that blocked off your rook. I don't do much positional play, but when I do, it is very effective.

It's not that I didn't notice, but you started the slugfest before I could recover.
