Why does a joke always not become a joke whenever I try to participate in it? This is all so stupid. And yes, it was a joke. I would never say anything like that to you. Or anybody, really. Just because you intended it to be a joke doesn't make saying things like that acceptable. You just outright insulted me and said that you wanted me to explode, whilst failing at something that I like doing. Imagine if I killed someone and said that it was a joke. Sure, it's a joke, so there's no malicious intent, but there's still a person who died. You said those hurtful things to and about me. It being a joke doesn't make that alright. Also, there was no punchline. If that was a joke, it was the unfunniest joke ever told. ... 1. It's not an insult if I don't actually mean it, since I didn't originally think that. 2. The other insult jokes were just as bad as that and nobody cared. 3. The joke was obviously a joke, making it at least somewhat acceptable, moreso then if it wasn't obvious. You gotta lighten up a bit if you think jokes on that level are serious. |

Your joke could have been a little less personal, happy. Notice how the other people participating did generic insults that could be used on anyone instead of picking out an insult specifically designed for that person.
That's probably why he didn't find it funny.

Once upon a time, one of us said something that the other took the wrong way and had a laugh about it. Haha, okay, move on with life. But instead of moving on, he kept going. And pushing this joke. Far beyond where I was comfortable- which I stated multiple times. Making it personal instead of abstract, and turning it into a threat or pretend torturing device. Despite the fact that I asked him to stop- first nicely, then a couple of times that were not as nice... he kept going, with that joke in particular as well as several other butt jokes. When I told him to stop, he complained that he "can't joke about anything anymore" without it "getting ruined" by someone else (even though all I wanted was to have conversations that weren't about uncomfortable butt jokes 24/7.) This didn't appear in threads because it was within private conversation. Most astonishingly, on roblox. How the filter itself didn't stop this is a mystery. I haven't talked to him much in private since (although he's tried starting up concersations with me) in great part because of what's happened. |
