I do remember them once wanting about $100 or so to unlock my car when I left my keys inside... It's a five second process with a J-lock or whatever they're called. (I think j-locks are actually a windshield wiper thing, but it's definitely a j-shaped tool that just pushes your car lock up.)
Luckily, friend's mom was friends with an officer and called him personally, and he was happy to help.
But yeah, that's the problem when police exams/tests are extremely easy, basically allowing any low IQ power junkie to carry a gun with the law in their pocket.

I change my mind regarding this issue... Pointing a fucking gun at me just for having a goddamn ice scraper and trying to free my car? And it wasn't a taser; I heard the fucking hammer click back when he pulled it.
And of course I got arrested; I had 5 grams of evil, evil marijuana. So evil, they had to fucking strip & keep my clothes and throw me into a padded cell with only a towel to cover myself...
And then I realized you're allowed to pay your own bail, so that was 3 hours wasted before I paid my dues and left.
Kind of. My phone was dead and I needed to let someone know I freed myself. But, I wasn't an inmate anymore and they already got paid, so I could go fuck myself and run 1.5 miles in subzero temperatures just to use a nearby gas station's phone.
So yeah, fuck da police!

Indeed. I'll probably either get sent to rehab classes and be on probation for a few months while pissing in a cup.
Or, since my record until now has been literally spotless, not even a single ticket, I could just be put on a year of "probation" which basically means a slap on the wrist and an extra huge fuckup if I get so much as a ticket in that year.
Considering that the arresting officer damn near mentally scarred me with that goddamn execution pose, I'm leaning towards the latter. It is not fucking protocol to pull out your gun before seeing a weapon, and even moreso to fucking cock the hammer back and ready it to fire.
He had a fucking taser and mace, but instead decided holding a gun to my face was completely necessary.
The real fucking kicker is the whole ride up he tried to make me feel bad for him. "You have to look at it in my shoes; I don't know what you have or are capable of."
Yeah, same fucking here buddy. How many innocent people have been gunned down by police, and you want me to feel bad for you because I almost joined that list? Fuck you, power-hungry PoS cop.

It has come to my attention that stun guns apparently also have a hammer? Seems weird as hell since you have to change the charge at the front after each shot, but I'm gonna go ahead and assume that's what he pointed at me. Wouldn't surprise me to learn he actually did have his handgun drawn, but I'll give him the benefit of the doubt.
Always thought they had a laser sight, but maybe only while priming? Idk.

Honestly I got lucky as hell. Our laws have stupid rules and stupid loopholes, and I stumbled onto a loophole; Because I was out of the vehicle, parked and stuck in a snowbank at the time of the officer's arrival to the scene, I was not technically pulled over. That being the case, despite it being obvious to everyone that I smoked a wee bit before driving, he couldn't tag on an OWI or anything. That probably would've set my bail from $500 to $2500
Thats what happened to one of my buddies; His bail was $2,500 and the guy under him tagged with aggravated assault was set at $1,500. Ain't America great?!?

I just find it hilarious how police like that can feel like heroes while unknowingly being the thugs themselves. You know that literally every privately owned for-profit prison has pushed for keeping marijuana federally illegal? Smells kind of fucky, doesn't it? When you can see how much money states like Colorado have raised purely from hemp tax while also lowering crime rate, it makes you wonder what possible reason could there be for keeping it illegal?
Ohhh, money, of course. Sure, the state can get some tax off of stoners buying stuff, orrr, or, we could just charge every stoner we catch $1000, and if we catch them enough, we can just throw them in prison and get more funding!
I mean FFS, this is Prohibition all over again, isn't it? Look how that turned out once it was very quickly over-turned... Why the hell is it taking so long this time around?

Apparently I just has the entirely wrong idea of court...
Granted, it wasn't an actual hearing and just me going in to plead "Not guilty" but I was literally the only person in there even remotely dressed nicely. I was also the only one who actually referred to the judge purely as "Your Honor."
The officers definitely treated me with respect though, if my appearance had any bearing on that.

Judging by the empty bottles... I've drank about 3 and a half gallons of Jagermeister since my arrest, and probably another half gallon or so of Canadian whiskey..
I mean yeah it's my own damn fault that I'm an alcoholic now, but good job boys in blue; You took a stoner and made him into a drunk. Mission accomplished!
And I fucking hated booze two months ago. Absolutely loathed it.
On the plus side, I've been waking up at 3 AM instead of PM, which seems better?
