Yeah. I was going to make a post that included an attachment but couldn't find any way to add one, and after going to Purring's help, we discovered that only the admin accounts had the "Add Attachment" button.

Okay, so apparently adding attachments is considered an administrative power to prevent people from spamming large memory things and then forcing me to pay money, and to prevent random people from putting viruses on the site. You can put the attachment on some file-sharing service and provide the link to that, I guess.

You can embed images without making it an attachment. Click "Insert Image".

That's for embedding images online. You have to provide a link to the URL of the image. I just want to embed it straight from my Pictures folder.

Oh, there's no way to do that. Proboards doesn't have an in-built image-hosting service. You can add attachments that require being downloaded as an administrator (excel files and whatnot, I think, though I never bothered to try it), and I guess you could upload a .png file that way, but it would have to be downloaded individually by everyone who wants to see the image.

To attach other files. If I want to put an excel spreadsheet here you can download it if I put it here as an attachment, or a .exe file, or a minecraft mod - stuff like that.

It won't help you do an attachment, but it's a demonstration that you're looking for the wrong button. You want the "embed image" button.

I don't want either of the buttons. Like I said, I want/need a way to embed it straight from my computer, but for some reason that's impossible.
