UTOPIATIC DESCENT

We could be immortals....
Just not for long.
Welcome to the future!
No one dies, and no one kills. It's practically Utopia!
Everyone negotiates! Everyone gets along! Not one thing goes wrong!
We make sure of it.
As long as you abide by our rules, you should live forever.
-Utopiatic Address, May 13, 2204, lines 422-427.
You heard the woman. You can live forever.
However, not everyone wants to.
Some people try to die on purpose.
Star-crossed lovers jump off the tallest cliffs ... only to find a long climb back.
Broken people cut themselves apart ... only to have their skin mend itself together again.
Murders mean nothing anymore. Suicide doesn't exist.
Not everyone wants to abide by the "rules" their government has set into place.
But it seems impossible to bypass the wireless connections keeping track of their vitals. When something goes wrong, it's fixed automatically. No one can remove the recievers embedded in their bodies, which pick up electric pulses from nerves relaying the need of repair within seconds.
Everyone gets a transplant of a tracker and reciever into their body, usually at a very young age. Some even get it when they are infants. They try to make it as painless as possible. But nobody likes the expirience.
What if you want to be naturally mortal? What if you want to be free?
Only a small amount wanted that- and half of them were just your typical teenagers, in that stage where no one can be the boss of them. Nonetheless, they formed a group, utterly rebellious against the government. The government who controlled their destinies and masked it as something for the better of public safety.
It wasn't. They tried to brand it like it was, but it wasn't.
That's what the rebellion thought. Nobody outside of the group agreed, for fear of the government's wrath.
Those who openly defied the government came to horrid ends- though your average citizen knew not what exactly they did. Rumors sprouted and grew, however. Word of torture methods rose up- at first, the punishment, the people thought, was forced labor working for the government. Then the whispers morphed into things like endless electrocution and tearing out people's healing chips and performing blood eagles on the prisoners. Most of these were probably not true, but it was enough to keep the general population from defying the government. The reality was much worse.
The government knew that if they wanted society to be how they wished, they could not kill anyone- even the rebels. They must force them into being immortal once again. Rewire eveything, and stick the healing chips back in. Most important of all, they'd have to make sure the uprisers wouldn't rise up again. The finishing touch was an alteration to the brain- enabling mind control, their ultimate goal. With these procedures set in place, it was unlikely that anyone would dare defy the government again.
And why should they?
This is Utopia.
Nothing needs to change.
Everything ... is fine.
Or else.
__________________________________________________________________
FACTIONS:
REBELS (CAN RECRUIT)
You are a rebel, against the government and the oppressive power they possess. To be a rebel, priority one is to remove your chips- both location and health. They can be found in each of your arms, in the inside of your elbow; location on the right. Remove these at any cost, if you haven't already- lest they control you another day. Once these are gone, the government will try to find you, but as long as your location chip is out of sight, you should be fine.
Try not to get caught (unless you wanna get brainwashed). Recruit new members- but try not to ask anyone who might tell the authorities. Once there are enough rebels, you may be able to gather and rise up against the government.... best of luck to you all, and may the previously fallen rest in peace. The mind-washed rebels are dead to you now. You mourn for the ones you have lost. They shall be avenged.
GOVERNMENT (CAN RECRUIT)
You are a government agent. Enforce the law. Your main focus is to trap rebels and take them back to the government base so they can be re-immortalitized and brainwashed. Use physical force, if you must. DO NOT KILL ANY REBELS. Only capture them. The penalty for killing is brain control- and you don't want that, do you?
NEUTRAL CITIZENS (CANNOT RECRUIT)
You're just a regular rule-abiding citizen. If you support the rebels, you don't do it out loud. You work for the government, but not directly; for example, you might be a baker, but the money goes to the government except for a small portion that you're allowed each week. Your role may be subject to change if you are recruited by a different faction and accept the invitation. Depending on who's recruiting you, your risk of death or punishment may increase (if you accept the rebel invitation or deny the government invitation, for example.)
FORMER REBEL (CANNOT RECRUIT)
You were once a rebel. You were in the front of the lines, fighting for freedom, a few people against a million trained fighters. However, you were caught. You remember nothing of your past life. Your memories have been buried by force, replaced with sunshine and roses. You work for the government now. Due to your brainwashing, you are now more heartless than most of the regular government workers. Your sole purpose in life now is to serve the government, and to maintain proper order and justice in the name of Utopia.
LOCATIONS:
UTOPIA
Huge city. Very futuristic. There is a diversity of spots here- little shops, tree-populated parks with very safe playground equipment, spacious apartments, etcetera. At its center lies the government headquarters, and at its edges borders a wall. Beyond the wall is forestry. The city is divided into five sections: Avarice, Plently, Embakan, Fellidy, and Inkton. The layout is much like a sliced piece of circular pizza, with a circle cut out in the very center. The wall would be its crust.
AVARICE
At the center of Great City Utopia, here lies the government headquarters; the capital. Leader Effie Yui resides at the top of a high tower on the top of the center building, where rulings take place and punishments are executed.
PLENTLY
The most delicious place in Utopia. Most of the bakeries and restaurants are here, and the food made is absolutely scrumptious. At the outer edges of Plently, further away from the capital, there are farms which supply the inner places with their ingredients.
EMBAKAN
A little bit of everything. If you don't fit anywhere else, you probably live here. This is the place where most of the rebels came from in the previous uprisings, so there's not as many people. However, this is to an advantage- The guard count is determined by a guard to citizen ratio. Less people means less guards.
FELLIDY
The most faithful part of Utopia. This is where a lot of business takes place. Big business. Big deals. The government likes these people and sometimes even teams up with some of these businesses to benefit both parties.
INKTON
This is where the artists reside. It's not unusual to see graffiti on the buildings here, but luckily, no one really cares. The graffiti is usually pretty anyways, and that type of artist is smart enough to do their stuff on the outer edges, where it's not as strict. Writers also live here, with most newspaper writers nearer to the center and the shameful writers who write naughty things near the walls.
THE WALL
Has many names depending on who's talking: "Utopia Boundary," "Ivy Central," "Prisonbars"... However, most just refer to it as "The wall." It seems pretty secure, and it is- except for a little hole in the Embakan area where rebels embark on a journey to freedom. Either the government doesn't know about this hole, or they're just not fixing it. And with the government ... no one really knows.
ODYSSEY FOREST
A large, dense forest outside the boundaries of Utopia. Many Rebel bases reside above ground, on ground, and underground here. There is a lot of wildlife and terrain. It's very treacherous, but the rebels find a way.
WALLACE CAMP
This is the main base of the Rebel alliance. This settlement is in northern Odyssey Forest and is hidden behind a hill. The shelters are crude and small, but they make do. Not many futuristic things exist here; most are just crude methods of survival.
CLIFF MARINAS
Cliff Marinas is a very large cliff. A few Rebel camps are perched on small plateaus, along with dead and alive shrubs, bushes, and trees. Not many people live here, mostly just because of the sheer danger level.
FUN FACT: The rebels don't have an official leader.

-Use common sense.
-Remove extra character sheet frame (the stuff in brackets like this).
-You are not a superhero. Although it is true you cannot die (if you have the chip, that is), you can't do stuff like fly or run fourty miles per hour. Your eyes can't be weird colors unless you're wearing colored contacts. Whenever you get injured, it heals, but only if you have the chip. If you don't have the chip, you can DIE.
-If you're a former rebel, you CAN'T REMEMBER STUFF RIGHT AWAY. Maybe- and that's a really big MAYBE-- Mayybe you can remember a few things here and there through things that trigger memories deep inside you- but the mind control is very STRONG and it takes an even STRONGER soul to parry that sort of thing. It will NOT happen right away.
-For the sake of realism, please do make your posts at least somewhat detailed. It's not mandatory that you write fifty paragraphs per post, but please, be reasonable. Try to avoid one-liners if you can.
-Please use correct grammar! Otherwise, you look like an idiot.
-Don't start roleplaying until your CS has been accepted by an admin.
-Portray your character's personality through their actions. Please make diverse, three-dimensional characters. No Mary Sues.
-If you're a law-abiding person, you're supposed to abide by the laws.
Speaking of which...
LAWS OF UTOPIA
1. If you are caught going against these laws, you will be punished. Extreme punishment concludes in brain control. Minor felonies may result in fines and government labor. These laws are here for a reason- to keep you all safe.
2. NEVER REMOVE YOUR HEALTH-MAINTAINING CHIP, NOR YOUR LOCATION TRANSMITTER. These are put into you for good reason- If you ever get lost, you can be found, and if you are injured, you can be brought back to perfect health by your health-maintainance chip. REMOVING EITHER OF THE TWO RESULTS IN EXTREME PUNISHMENT.
3. If you see or hear of someone not abiding by the rules, REPORT THEM IMMEDIATELY. There are guards posted at each city which you must snitch to. THE REWARD FOR ACCURATELY REPORTING A FELON IS NO TAXES FOR A WEEK- Meaning you can keep all the money you make for seven whole days! However- If your report is found to be incorrect, you will be fined.

Effie is tall for a woman. She has beautiful, long black hair that ends at about her waist. However, it's usually up high in a ponytail.
