so, in the province i live in, lightning storms and stuff sprouted over 100 wildfires throughout the summer, and right now some are dangerously close to me. basically, the smoke from the wildfires is congregating in my area due to the wind direction and stuff, and it's been building up so much over the past few days, it's starting to hinder vision and it's making the air unhealthy. eventually we might have to trap ourselves in our houses, making us stinking hot, and having to deal with water restrictions
why, wildfires
why

I like in the US, and I've never seen a wildfire or a forest fire.

What you're doing is a bad idea. My mother's family is from a part of Australia that regularly gets bushfires and the advice always given to me is that if you think your house is at risk of being attacked by the fire you should pack up and leave days in advance, or if it's last minute, just leave.

Interestingly enough, the closest wildfire is almost in the nearest city to me -- I live in a small town a bay across from the city -- at a lake. It's of note, just not incredibly dangerous, and it's mostly contained. It's just all the smoke that's built up from wildfires coming to my area. But, who knows? Lighting could set off a fire right next to my hometown. Who knows?
