The role-play would like to thank the Metropolitan Police and the City of London Police for existing in order to create this role-play and bring law, order and justice to those within the London area of the United Kingdom.
Police Department:
London: London has two major Police Forces named as the Metropolitan Police and the City of London Police. Your role-playing experience shall begin on 2nd January 2010 and you will experience first hand policing immediately. With the Metropolitan Police being named as one of the busiest Police Departments in the world it is of no doubt that they have a really big budget and personnel size. They have several, important, divisions within the actual force named as; Counter Terrorism Command (CTC), Dog Support Unit (K9 Unit), Air Support Unit, Homicide and Serious Crime Demand (DET), Forensics, Traffic (Patrol), Specialist Firearms Command (SFO).
The Metropolitan Police shall be the main focus within the London option, however the option will present itself to work for the City of London Police until a certain event happens later in the role-playing experience.
Division Walk-through:
Counter Terrorism Command (CTC) - Your job is to infiltrate terrorist cells within the United Kingdom and prevent terrorist acts from happening across the British Isles and even the world.
Dog Support Unit (K9 Unit) - Your job is to enhance the ability of normal Officers within times of need. A dog can be used to sniff illegal weapons and substances as well as finding somebody who has evaded the Police and hidden in a dark forest.
Air Support Unit - Your job is to hunt down suspects who are evading capture and make sure each of their footsteps are captured so the footage can be used as evidence but also so that the Officers on the ground have a helicopter to follow if they lose sight of a suspect.
Homicide and Serious Crime Demand (DET) - This is the main detective, and investigation, branch throughout the Metropolitan Police and it zooms in on going undercover to gather intelligence on known serious criminals which could involve illegal immigration, murder, rape, illegal trafficking and much, much more.
Forensics - When a weapon is captured, or blood is taken from a dead body, then each tiny detail has to be analysed in an attempt to identify them. This falls under the jobs of a Forensic Scientist - not all Police Officers were stab-proof vests in London!
Traffic (Patrol) - Your job is the job of any ordinary Police Officer in London. You drive around, not always happily, in your BMW 5-Series and you pull over those who are breaking traffic laws but also respond to the average call through the radio.
Specialist Firearms Command (SFO) - The Specialist Firearms Command offers a range of abilities which aren't offered throughout the other divisions. This includes the only method to achieve having a legal firearm in the United Kingdom whilst a member of the Metropolitan Police. You will begin an examination course and constantly train until you achieve your license and become an Authorised Firearms Officer (AFO). Once you become an Authorised Firearms Officer you will find yourself responding to crimes you couldn't have imagined including live terrorist attacks, hostage negotiations, standoffs and much, much more!
Diplomatic Protection Unit (DPU) - You are the enforcers of law when foreign visitors arrive and your job is to protect them with your life. You must be a licensed AFO to enter this division.
