Before anyone does ANYTHING to attempt to post here, this was made on a personal request by Masmusk, it is an ISRP for him and him alone. Just so that you’re aware. Also, ignore the very bottom paragraph about the bannanachairs, it's my siggy, not in any way related to this ISRP.

1) History of Sector 1887 (1
Sector 1887 of space is quite large. It was named by the United Earth Government when they began settling there, and the name stuck. Several other alien governments started colonizing this sector of space, and thus there were multiple factions in Sector 1887. This was the Age of Colonization.
However, as the expansion of space accelerated, the UEG lost contact with its homeworld, and began to fall. The other governments, which were more able to cope without commands, took advantage of this fall in government to grab as many planets as possible. However, they constantly fought over the planets, and they too fell.
About 200 “Standard Years” (The standard unit of a year, based off of the UEG’s homeworld) passed, and the individual planets gained their own governments. However, when the governments all decided to go back into space (They prolonged it due to instability on their worlds), they all knew that it would really be a matter of time before a few of the new space empires crawled out on top.
However, something that nobody has expected is corporations to buy entire planets (In one case, entire star-systems!) and to act as the rulers of those planets. And so before the governments could decide who would stay at the top, the age in history known as the Company Era began.
After about ten of the planetary governments were left remaining, they decided to do something about the companies that were slowly gnawing away at their territories. A war ensued, and then an agreement. The companies would act as divisions of governments, the peace-treaty stated.
And that gave rise to the era in history known as the Age of Ten Nations. However, other companies have arisen, and companies under the governments have fallen, until the companies have all fallen.
This is the time that you are in, close to the end of the Age of Ten Nations and close to the beginning of something else.
2) Common Species (2
Human: Even after the fall of the UEG, humans have remained a powerful species. They tell legends of their homeworld, a place known as “Earth”. It is unknown as to whether these legends are true, although it seems to be a good explanation for the origin of the UEG (And their name), and likely it is the hub of civilization.
Caans: A race of self-righteous aquatic creatures. They are the descendants of a race from the Age of Colonization, and expert terraformers.
Tuzalons: A race of creatures with six eyes and long, dexterous trunks. They cry acid. They arrived in the late days of the Age of Colonization.
Waarocar: A race of mollusks with large resonating chambers on the front of their heads, through which they speak.
Similerathi: A race of small bi-pedal reptiles. They are highly intelligent and resourceful. They live on hot planets, preferring a temperature of approximately 80 degrees Celsius. Their average height is 1 metre, and their average lifespan is only 60 years.
3) Important Planets and Factions (3
Planets:
Marduk: Homeworld of the Caans, and their nation, the Krelik Empire. It is an enormous torus-shaped planet, and it is unknown if it was terraformed by the ancestors of the modern Caans, or if it was created by a more ancient, more technologically advanced species that has fallen into ruin long before the UEG arrived.
Hutamah: Homeworld of the Tuzalons, it is the capital of two empires (The Zerthox Empire and the Gretchin Empire), and is always stricken by war, despite the fact that it is still the home of all technology.
Yayzia: Homeworld of the Waarocar and the Rodrom Empire. It has some of the largest mineral deposits in the sector of space, which might be why the Rodrom Empire’s mining corporation lasted for the longest.
Oix'tisia: Homeworld of the Similerathi, and their empire, the Ulrok Empire. It is at a temperature of anywhere between 70 and 110 degrees Celsius.
Odin: The main planet of the Hrolor Empire, and arguably the only planet. It is named after the god from an ancient UEG religion, and it is rumored that somewhere on the planet is a library containing all sorts of knowledge from this ancient religion, which the people of the Hrolor Empire follow. At least, they follow a variant of it, due to the fact that most of the “Earth” animals don’t exist on Odin.
Terolk: See: Terolk Empire
Governments:
Krelik Empire: An empire comprised entirely of Caans. Their homeworld, Marduk, is a masterpiece of terraforming and landing you spaceship in a part not designated as a landing area can get you executed. They are a powerful empire, and have only gained the amount of power that they have through ‘Borrowing’ planets to terraform, and ‘accidentally’ terraforming them in such a way that the planet is only habitable to their species.
Zerthox Empire: One of two empires struggling for control of Hutamah. They are a militaristic empire, and at war with most other empires. Their territory is small, due to the fact that they have placed their entire military on a few planets in an attempt to conquer Hutamah, and due to the fact that they hired the Krelik Empire to try and make most of their planets habitable.
Gretchin Empire: An empire primarily comprised of both Tuzalons and Humans, they are generally a peaceful race and are only at war with one empire – The accursed Zerthox Empire. They have lots of planets, which they gained through legitimate methods, unlike most other empires.
Rodrom Empire: An empire ruled by the Waarocar, where most of the lower class are miners on the colonized planets. They are allied with the Gretchin Empire in the war against the Zerthox, although plan to double-cross the Gretchin once the war is over so that they can have all the technology – especially the mining tech.
Vetrilt Empire: An empire that is comprised mainly of humans, they claim to be the descendants of the UEG and likely are. This empire is large, covering a third of the Sector, and they are close to wiping out two more empires – The Ulrok Empire and the Hrolor Empire. They have no homeworld, rather, they believe that their homeworld is lost to them and has been for centuries.
Ulrok Empire: The only empire of the Similerathi, their capital planet is Oix'tisia. This empire is close to being wiped out, and the Vetrilt and Krelik empires are responsible.
Hrolor Empire: A small empire of humans that follow a variant of the ancient Nordic religion. Their only planet, Odin, is constantly besieged by the Vetrilt Empire.
Terolk Empire: Another single-planet empire, this empire was originally a part of the Vetrilt Empire when it broke away during the war in which the empires started conquering. It has managed to hold out against their former leaders for ages, although due to the war on both the fronts of the Hrolor and the Ulrok empires, the Terolk Empire has finally had their siege broken.
Cortexil Empire: An empire that has fallen years ago, although their defense drones constantly fight off all who dare to try and conquer their two-dozen planets. It is arguable whether this is still an empire, and if it is not considered one, then that means that the Age of Ten Nations has already come to pass, and it should be renamed the Age of Nine Nations.
Klorgeth Empire: The only empire that has not ever had any company, they lay claim to the entire sector of space despite not having any colonies on most planets. They are an advanced empire, far more so than all the others, and only arrived during the age of Companies. Nobody has dared to fight against them, although people have laid waste to their claims over the rest of the sector. It is unknown what species this empire is comprised of, although there are rumors that this empire is the UEG, which would defy the Veltrit Empire’s claims.
The Mask Crime Syndicate: The Mask Crime Syndicate is the only syndicate of organized crime that has managed to survive for this long. They have all sorts of criminals, from smugglers to pirates, and it is rumored that they may be a division of the Klorgeth Empire, or have stolen technology from the Klorgeth Empire. It is, and has been for the past hundred-and-fifty years, led by an individual known as “The Mask”. Seeing as no
4) Technology (4
The technology in Sector 1887 of space is, aside from the Klorgeth Empire, mostly the same. There are basic interstellar spaceships that can travel faster than light for a limited amount of time, and laser-based weaponry.
5) Your Story (5
At long last, after all this reading, you may begin your interstellar story. But first, there are a few questions that I’d like to ask you.
What is your name?
What species are you?
What Empire are you a citizen of?
What planet do you hail from? (If you do not want to hail from one of the main planets, specify, and describe the planet that you do come from.)
What was your early life like?
What goals do you have in your life?
What dreams do you have? (The difference is that the goals are things your character thinks he/she can achieve, and the dreams are just what your character wants to do, whether or not they seem likely (or possible) to happen)
Dear Santa, what I want for Christmas is for all the Bannanachairs to come back to life. Their extinction has caused massive impact on the economy, and several governments have gone into anarchy from this. From Tim.
