Purring brought up an idea yesterday. She was thinking of having a big final goodbye party for the RPF shortly before its deletion. How did you know the quality of the website BEFORE you joined? Knowing most people, you probably had no idea ROBLOX existed until you made an account for it. The only really way you could know is by being a guest beforehand. |

The only really way you could know is by being a guest beforehand. Half of my closest friends joined ROBLOX in 2010 or earlier. I've heard enough shit about the forums to know how awful they were. |

I wasn't actually talking about the forums, but whatever. Anyways, the forums weren't as bad as you say. In fact, if anything, they were just bad because we resided in them. But they weren't that bad, at least in my opinion. Everybody says that they're just incredibly horrible and they despise it, but it doesn't deserve that much hate. |

I don't find it that surprising considering ROBLOX's past actions. They've been slowly but surely removing anything that doesn't have direct relation to ROBLOX, and anything that makes their jobs more difficult. The mods have never really wanted to moderate any of the sub-forums outside of the ATR ones, and rather then take the effort to find a compromise, they just decided to delete them outright so they wouldn't have to deal with it at all. Truthfully, I think this has been in the works since the forum-merge incident. That was their first step towards doing this shit, and probably the one compromise they were willing to make. When it blew up in their face, they probably just said "fuck it." and here we are. |
