I'm thinking of writing something based on the D&D campaign that I was going to run but which I have since cancelled by just writing my thoughts for how it would have gone as a story. It would likely be very episodic in nature, given the way I'd wanted to structure the campaign (My thoughts were that session 1 the party would fight against the vile necromancer Abel Olcorth, session 2 they'd defend a small village against increasingly aggressive Orc raids, session 3 they'd go underground into the mines of Gagh Buldir where underground Troglodytes have captured a mining party, etc.), so you could likely read the story out of order and it would still make some amount of sense. However, I don't know how long I'd want each installment to be - I was thinking between 1,000 and 1,500 words (though it might be anywhere between 750 and 3,000 words, given that I haven't really tried writing a story in a while so I can't be sure how many words I'll take), so that I can get a fair amount of character development, and I'd change the protagonists from a whole adventuring party to a single protagonist with maybe a rotating cast of deuteragonists who would serve as the "adventuring party". If you'd be interested in reading this, please do tell me; I think I'm a better writer than I am a DM and so hopefully this will not end in a large argument.

So I take it that some of you really want to read it and the rest are rather indifferent, with nobody wanting me not to write this? Cool, I'll start trying to write the first part.

I count it as canon, because there are animations of it if you look on youtube for the lost episodes.

I count it as canon, because there are animations of it if you look on youtube for the lost episodes. It hasn't been officially released as a published episode; it was released as early storyboards. By that logic Lucas's early drafts for Episode VII should also count as canon.

Anything George Lucas does at this point is non canon. That's how shit his writing is.
