What are your thoughts on spending big on fashion? It can be either from fancy suits or trendy streetwear.

I do not recommend paying for what is fashionable, but rather for what will last longer. The value of an item should be measured not in it's cost, but rather the cost-per-wear. For instance, I have a $150 sports jacket that I've worn basically every day since December, putting it at close to $1 per wear by now. Likewise, I have leather shoes that are slightly more expensive but which I've worn over a hundred times by now and they are nearly as good as new and will last years to come. On the other hand, I was given the other day a $40 or $50 T-shirt which, though technically cheaper than my jacket, I doubt I will ever wear, making it a worse overall investment for me.
