I feel you. I was going to choose Cyan if there was one, but I chose a similar color. I think I'm fed up with Cyan now?

Well, we all know what I, as a northern Irish person will vote for.

It's sad there was no brown. I would've chosen brown.

You really have to start limiting the number of options people can pick

I only do that when it matters But how can I get an accurate representation of how many people like blood red? Arguably, you get a better representation with unlimited choices than you would with one-vote-per-person. If votes were limited, people would have to choose which one they liked absolute best, while with unlimited voting people can vote for whichever ones they like without having to exclude any. If you'd like a more accurate representation of how many people considered blood red their singlemost favorite out of all these given colors, then it would be better to have a one-vote-per-person poll. However, as you just wanted to know how many people like it, regardless of whether it's in their top three or even top ten picks, then the way the poll is now already gives the most accurate representation a poll in a little community like this can provide.

can you stop saying "calm down"
i have no wish to argue over whether or not i was calm when i typed that, but if you really must know, i was not upset in the least bit when typing that, and thus had nothing to calm down from.
i would also like to add that there is a different kind of humor which involves replying seriously to a joke. it is a much more subtle form of humor, and often is not understood, as it has no punchline, no pun-chline, and overall no easily recognizable humorous qualities.
since it is more subtle, it is also a safer form of humor; no one gets upset at you for not taking what they said seriously, in the case of a misunderstanding, and though people may bash at you for not being able to "take a joke", i personally would prefer that chance as opposed to accidentally making fun of a serious comment.
postscript
the subtle humor is sort of a sarcastic humor, but not just that; it's a little hard to explain. it has the power to take a meaningless joke into an actually intelligent and arguably more worthwhile conversation. so, i guess it's not just a subtle humor, but a bridge from trivial to logical.

that said, if you want an entire essay on why telling people to "calm down" is generally un- or even counterproductive, i can do so, but it will take a while- probably at least a day- especially considering i have many things to do that are arguably more immediately important than writing about minimizing conflict.
