Though the Krogan was far from tech savvy, Ratarok had been forced by Typhinx to learn basic comm functions with the Galanet recorder, as that seemed to be the preferred method of the planet's denizens. As such, Ratarok began fiddling with his as they hopped off the vehicles, glancing up as the bugman departed. Before long, he finds it, as well as the rest of the people he had fought with, and grouped their ID's into his device.
"You all fight well. If you plan on doing more than sitting in this city all day, count Ratarok in." He spoke into his recorder, sending it to each party member, before then adding his list of ID's to each of them, with the note 'If you want to save the time.' attached.

Hkatchep gets off of the truck, surveying the big city. Large, apparently safe, and filled with interesting people, all fleeing from Typhinx. Hkatchep isn't here to settle down, however, and heads to the bounty board to see what's available. Approaching the bounty board as you see it, you find it mostly covered in ads, both old and new, for various weapons for sale. However, you do manage to pick out a couple that actually appear to be paying jobs. 1) Booze Run No one in Resilience seems capable of brewing anything better than toilet wine... Don't get me wrong, it works, but it's not pleasant until a few bottles in. As such, I took the liberty of 'securing information' about where these corporate bastards get their hooch; No one fights a war sober, after all. Seeing how as I'm too busy selling the stuff, and the Defense doesn't care what their boys drink, I need a group willing to go 'borrow' a few boxes from Typhinx's supply house. See me at the Tipsy Gypsy for details. [REWARD] (All items are given to every party member upon completion.) 250 ¢r Randomized Shotgun 2) Borderwatch Lieutenant Tarvus needs a handful of volunteers to join a Defense raid in taking out Fort Greenwall, thereby clearing access into the Brittlebark Forests. Inquire at Defense HQ for further details. [REWARDS] 350 ¢r Randomized Class Item {Recommended level; 3} RatarokWith the contacts made, Ratarok leaves the garage area and quickly adds a map of Resilience to his Galanet device. Following the directions, he wove around the oddly shaped buildings before finally coming to a stop in front of "Dr. Ted's Trauma Center." Proceeding inside, the Krogan found the place to be oddly small to be a trauma center. Indeed, there appeared to only be a few refrigerators, a couple cots, and a lab station covered with vials and various tubing. Standing behind a counter was a Human wearing simple white clothing. "Ahh, welcome to Dr. Ted's! What ails you today, my friend?" "Think I could use a few stitches in my arm here." "Nonsense!" Dr. Ted cried out, going over to one of the refrigerators and pulling out a vial of red liquid. "Dr. Ted's Anti-Lead is all you need. 25 credits a vial." Looking oddly at it, Ratarok bought one and drank it, nodding and buying another for the road. Ratarok: [-50 ¢r] [Dr Ted's Anti-Lead vial x1 - Upon use, gain 50 health in or out of combat.] He sent out another grouped message, inquiring if anyone else wanted a few vials while he was there.

(Sorry I haven't been the most active. Also, I'd like to quickly remind everyone that the soft "g"s and English "j"s spoken by Jorim sound more like a zh or the second "g" in garage than the "g" in "gym" or the "j" in "Jim", because in his native Pallyrian language the soft-g sound doesn't exist. Why am I adding a funny accent to my character? It's a cheap, easy way to set him apart and make him interesting without me actually having to do any character development!)
Jorim
I take note of the message sent by Ratarok, and, after thinking it through for a while, send my response. "If you're suggesting what I think it is that you are, I would quite like to join you." I add Ratorak's ID to my contacts list [if that's a thing; I'm willing to edit this post later], and the IDs of all the rest as well. After doing that, I suppose the first logical thing to do or place to go would be the shopping area to see what accommodations, vehicles and so forth cost.

As Vick surveys the city, walking down the road and waving to a few passerbys. She gets the message and frowns, sending back a message saying she's both jealous and upset that you got healing from anywhere other than her. Following that, she declines the vials, saying that at least she thinks she's a good enough healer. Vick heads to the bar, even though she doesn't drink. Perhaps she could meet some interesting people in there.

After a while of walking, I finally reach the place of my most familiarity; the Typsy Gypsy. The last time I came here was when I was thrown out for starting a fight against some drunk bastard, so I decided to sit at a table instead of heading up to the counter for a drink. Well, this isn't the recruitment area, but I'm going to need something strong if I'm deciding to join up. I fold up my arms and hunch down to avoid attention, yet casting my eye around time-to-time to observe the denizens of the establishment.

Hkatchep quickly looks over the jobs, considering the first. It wasn't ready enough to try taking on a Typhinx fort, so the booze job would be an okay start. And it would get to raid some Typhinx place anyway. Receiving a ping from Ratarok, Hkatchep sends a message back: "Yes. Reserve medical supplies may come useful. Found job, require muscle. Inquiry about interest in raiding Typhinx supply house?"

I spot a human; unlike the others, this one stands out from the rest. From the looks of it, it is a medic, and I've haven't seen it around the place. So, I decided to take her attention and hail her over to my table.

Hearing the returned message and glancing at his Galanet recorder, the Krogan couldn't resist a slight grin at the word 'raiding' being included. The Krogan looked at his ballistic shield in thought for a moment; He wasn't much of a weapons expert, just a big, scary target. Maybe learning a bit more from this... What was his name, Lucas? A bit of firearm knowledge could never hurt if he's going to be getting shot at regularly.
Opening his map, Ratarok finds the 'Lucas Arms' posted near the main central square. Rather plainly named, but hopefully the man knows his weapons.
"Count me in; I'm heading over to the arms market, see if I can't learn a little bit more about the local weaponry. Send me details, or I'll be over there eventually." Ratarok responded to the insectoid. "I'll forward it to the others."

I look over to a strange looking fellow motioning me over to their table. With a smile, I go on over, my pins jumping and clanking around as I walk. To relieve myself of some weight, I put my shotgun on the table and take a seat, not waiting for them to request I sit down. “Hello there," I chirp, looking to the man, or who I think is a man, with a smile, ”how are you doing?

I chuckle from the response, then I return with, "Well, I'm surprised to see someone with those kinds of manners here." I pause for a moment, "Ah, where are my manners?" I say. Reaching for my helmet, I give it a small twist that follows with a whirring noise. Once my head is exposed, I place the helm close to me, then I reach for a compartment on my torso which reveals a pack of cigarettes and a lighter.
I place a cigarette between my fingers. "Want one?"

"Oh, you should see me literally anywhere else with someone familiar," I say, kind of talking to myself more than to this fella, "Especially on the battlefield.. or the bedroom.. but.. then again, I guess manners aren't something needed in either situation." I look down to the opening compartment, visibly jumping back a bit, at first thinking the man's suit was malfunctioning. With a nervous laugh after realizing everything is okay, I calm down a little bit. With a shrug, I answer, "Don't usually but I suppose I might as well."

I past her a cigarette, then after allowing her to use my lighter, I flick its brass cap back on. Once I place the items back, I breathe in, then letting a small funnel of smoke to blow pass my rather alien jaws.
"Now, tell me. Why'd you sign up to this hellhole?"

(Because it is a side objective/quest, [and the awards Exp.] I'm actually going to hold off posting/heading towards the arms market until a couple of us are heading there; Hard to justify giving the party as a whole probably enough experience to level otherwise.)

Hkatchep, after seeing the alien's reply, headed to the place where more details were promised, the Tipsy Gypsy. Upon entering, it spotted another from the group that had been on the train, the human one, talking with a peculiar alien. Hkatchep thought it might try to recruit the human, and perhaps her new friend if needed, for the job, but after getting all the details it needed from the person offering the job here.

Or, you assume as such, considering its 'nod' consisted of its entire body rocking on its single wheel. "Aye, I've a job for ye." the bot says in a staticy voice. "These corporate cuntbags... Typhinx, is it? It's a right shame they have better booze than us, don't you think? I happen to know where their next few moonshot supply drops containing the brown gold will land. You saw the notice; I'll pay 250 credits each to you and any friends willing to go snag me some boxes. More arms means more haul, after all." "One catch, however." it continued, holding up it's odd pincher of a hand. "It's not like those blokes will be sitting around after it drops; You gotta beat 'em there."

I take a drag of the cigarette, coughing a bit afterwards. I do a sheepish grin, somewhat embarrassed. Who the hell coughs after taking a puff from a cigarette. I cringe at his question, knowing that a series of jokes will probably follow. "Well, uh," I say, holding the cigarette with my mouth and scratching my neck, "you see, pet shops don't really need workers during times of full scale rebellion." I reconsider this, thinking it implied too much I got fired, "Or rather, business isn't exactly the best. I would more than likely just be sitting on my ass," A bop to my butt, "waiting the entire day for someone to come in, but no one ever does." An apathetic shrug, "Figured a 'vacation' at work everyday would start getting pretty stale."

(hee, I think I like the quirk that's sorta come up that Hkatchep can't actually speak english or whatever "common" language that everyone else does, but can read well and just draws holographic words to talk with people.) Hkatchep nodded, holding up its hand and drawing the words "No problem." in the air. "Job is job, will be done." The insectoid turns, and locates the human it had fought with earlier, and her new 'friend'. Leaving the bot, Hkatchep approaches, drawing some glowing blue words on their table from across the room: "Found paying job. Interested?"

I spot the bug approaching our table, then I read his written words. "One of your friends, I'm guessing? If so, I'm already starting to take a liking to him."
"And, uh, if you don't mind, I'd like to tag alone. I haven't done jack shit lately and I'm interested in joining up with the Defense."

"Yeah, he's, uh," A pause , "interesting." Considering I didn't have anything else planned, I shrug, "I'd be interested. Wasn't planning on doing much of anything else." An aside to the newcomer, " Yeah, would be pleased to have you. "

(Sorry ahead of time for this, mates. Got bored of waiting...) Making his way across the sizable city of Resilience, Ratarok kept glancing at his Galanet device's map as he was guided to the arms market. Before long, the Krogan found himself standing outside a building covered in various gun ads and logos, a vast majority of which seemed to belong to Cylimax.
Proceeding inside, Ratarok was met by a small framed, orange skinned creature with four eyes. Looking up as the Krogan entered, he hailed the newcomer graciously.
"Welcome friend, welcome! What kind of slaughter device are you after?"
Staring for along moment, Ratarok shook his head Ashe snapped back to attention, then looking around curiously. "Actually, some basic knowledge would be helpful."
"Ahhh," Lucas said with a nod. "New to the city, eh? I'll share what I know." he agreed, bringing a happy nod from Ratarok as he fumbled with his Recorder. "What are you doing?"
"Saving notes for later... Go ahead?"
Walking over to a nearby shelf, Lucas pulled off several firearms and placed them in front of the Krogan.
"There are five major manufacturers with weaponry sold on Darima; Typhinx, the ass of all trades. No real strength, but no weakness either. That said, they have been known to steal designs, secretly of course, and improve on them. These are some of the best, though rarest, weaponry you can find."
"Next," he began, tapping the next firearm in the row. "Good ol' Cylimax. Not the strongest, but they love quick-firing revolver technology, and so do I."
"This beast here in a Mjölnir; Slow as everliving hell, but likely to leave a pretty decent sized hole in whatever you're shooting at."
"And the last two, Octane and Elemelt... These are both elemental-type developers, though Octane tends to stick with explosive payloads."
"To expand further on Elemelt's element types, there are three not including explosives; Fire, good for unarmored target, corrosive for if they are armored, and shock to drain away any pesky shield units they have."
"That's pretty much the jist of it... Now buy something or get out."

(All good mates, my fault for separating myself from the group. I think you're in the same boat as I was Tim, haha; Both went towards objective areas, though I was/am hesitant about continuing without most of us present. That said, I mostly just wanted to get that gun/brand knowledge out there for everyone. I'll probably head your way next, maybe grab the rest first, and go meet Harper with you.)
(I'm stuck between Shield Bash and Inspiration. Focus would probably get out leveled eventually and become useless, plus we have a healer so I should be fine.)
