I was walking through the forest one day, snow finding its way into my boots by any means possible. Today it wasn't raining, nor did the sky scream from overhead for me to go back home. Today, it was silent, the sky a winter grey overlooking its kingdom, the only audible sounds being my own footfalls crunching in the snow and my breath billowing small clouds in the air. The snowy landscape made it harder to recognize where I was, but I had been in that forest enough times that it was familiar enough.
Just as I climbed onto a fallen tree, I spotted the river at last. This river, now frozen at the surface, was the surest of landmarks in any season. I gladly stepped down to approach the river. There was a layer of ice on the top, but I could tell there was running water underneath. As I stepped into the river, water bubbled around my toes, melting away at my touch, welcoming me home.
"Yea bitch I got water powers" I shout, and proceed to jump in the water and try to breathe underwater
Then I die because I was a delusional little shit all along~
