I haven't asked for anything for the past 4 years. Sure, they get me things like clothing, or maybe headphones, but I don't ask them to.
I know they're going to give me a new mobile phone, and I really appreciate that. But I didn't have to ask for it, it's just that the one I have isn't exactly great.

i've thrown out a few suggestions because it drives my mom mad if i don't say anything; a few classic books a poster for my room a cheap tablet maybe a steam giftcard? idk also going to get the inevitable money from grandparents that i'll end up investing in stocks'n'bonds. reading a book on investing rn.  |

I don't ask for Christmas presents because I pick them out. For example, yesterday I went to the outlet mall in San Marcos.
I bought KD 9s, a Hollister hoodie, two Hollister tees, a Ralph Lauren tee, a pair of Nike Air running shoes, three pairs of joggers (two Hollister, one Nike), a basketball and Under Armor socks.
And then my mom got me this big ass Rice Krispy slab. It's like a 1.5² slab of pure fucking sugar. She also got me like six boxes of candy canes and some Pop Rocks.
And my aunt is going to get me something, but idk what.
And my other aunt is probably just going to give me $25 but that's fine because I'm saving up for a Louis Vuitton backpack.
And my grandparents are gonna buy me more shit for my birthday, which is three days after Christmas.
And my mom's "ex"-friend is going to buy me some shoes or a Beats Pill+ speaker.

You can read even read Beowulf on Kindle. You can read Beowulf, Tolkien's translation of Beowulf into modern English, Tolkien's annotated translation of Beowulf into modern English and Tolkien's essay on Beowulf if you go to the right bookstore. |

I'm gonna be heading back to where they all are today and I haven't seen or talked to them for while. I'll just leave this like every other Christmas and enjoy the lights and act surprised at my gifts (As I said, I'm hard to shop for. Usually my gifts are either books, Magic: The Gathering cards, clothes, and maybe the occasional video game. It's hard to be surprised when the field's so narrow.). |
