"Oh, okay. I understand. Well, on behalf of the Earth Alliance, we would like to provide you this computer so our two peoples may establish contact between each other. It also includes a program that will allow you to learn our language... Err... That might have been too complicated."


The ambassador points at the computer.


"Use to talk. Learn our language from there two. You can talk with us with that."


The computer has an entire database of human history, including politics, their way of life and a more advanced program to teach english. He also asks:


"Can you give us anything to learn your language?"

(It's where Nihilist and Des are. It's a single ship and it's their first test of FTL, it's also manned because the government at the time didn't care what happened to them.)

INTERNAL AFFAIRS
Laputa Day has ended, but the triumphant exaltations sent out by the Grand Chief still echo against the songs of stars. Only time will tell if they ever receive a response.
In other news, a great underground complex of uncertain origins has been unearthed in the general vicinity of a backwoods White Fang agridome. Further excavations will commence under the watchful gaze of the Starcast Eye Tribe. 

MILITARY/DIPLOMATIC AFFAIRS
Day three: the door remains locked. One can still hear the sound of voices, albeit dimmer than at the outset, on the other side. Will they succeed in perfecting their Death Ray? The odds are still tenable.

Confederate Activity
Quite frankly, the Syhelians are at a loss to deal with the Slydavian economic issues. Both because such issues have never been very important to them and because there's a very strong and racist assumption that this is simply the nature of a lesser species. Adding on to the troubles are the fact that everybody wants to reap the rewards but no one council member is willing to take responsibility for the Slydavians. For now, the Council reasons, the Slydavians will be left to deal with it on their own.


At any rate the Syhelians would soon become preoccupied by a third party of aliens. Intercepted transmissions would reveal that they have already been in active communication with another set of coordinates, something that greatly complicates the tactical situation of the ongoing subjugation of the Slydavians. Adding to the fact that many of the Syhelians as a part of the occupation force were expecting some combat, a promise that had been broken with their rather unexpected surrender, and the Syhelians were out for blood. With all said and done, the response to the ship was simply to lay in wait until it was close enough that escape was not an option before scrambling a half dozen bomber squadrons to destroy the ship, starting with the engines and then working their way from there.

Internal Affairs
The economy sinks further as the Slydavians accept surrender to the Syhelians. The first minister warns them that the Syhelians need to work closely with the people to improve the economy, or else everyone else would be ousted out of a job, or worse, a coup replacing the first minister with someone very anti Syhelian. The First Minister also recommends to ease the economic depression would to stop disarmament of the military, as it is one of the key reasons of the depression.
Military Affairs
Everyone is still dismantling hardware and shipping it to the Syhelians.

Confederate Activity
The words of a weak and inferior species remain unheeded, that said. The Slydavian's are compensated in money for their hardware dismantling and the occupation force after some deliberation begins promoting a 'New World' initiative, that would encourage Slydavians to encourage two of the habitable worlds in their own system. It's reasoned that the jobs gained and new resources gained from such a movement will help the Slydavians achieve some measure of economic prosperity.

On similar lines, plans are being made to colonize the fourth habitable planet in the Slydavian system with Syhelians in order to exploit resources there and maintain a permanent watch over their subjects.

Internal Affairs
Most of the people have a negative view of the Syhelians, and as such the program does not succeed much. Sympathizers to the Syhelians are regularly discriminated against. The money does help the depression a little bit, but not by much. Again, the first minister requests to stop the heavy disarmament of the military to ease the depression, conviced now that this would increase resource production. He also recommends the Syhelians try to respect the culture of the Slydavians, as this would also increase the efficiency of the economy.

Military Affairs
The people are so angry that the Syhelians refuse to heed the words of the first minister, and thus Military and riot police are called in to patrol the various cities. The military is almost disarmed or absorbed into policing.

The Avax with a bit Cinnamon

The paranoid Avax known as Herkia, looks at the fleet and tries to take over the controls. The other two let him as they are too busy trying to look like some sort of squid for presentation, Herkia was selected because of them being able to deal with the advanced computer systems that their ship runs on. They send an executable to this alien fleet, it's their choice to run it or not. Gain precious info, a new program or anything of the sort could happen, let's see if these aliens are smart enough to use it.

The CSC Pride of Yatan is sent to investigate a strange signal that was intercepted. (Hygenist)

Crackdown on riots and suspected dissent are brutal and efficient wherever Slydavian forces fail to contain such turbulence. The New World initiative continues despite early failures, progress does not come without costs after all. 


Research and conversion of the Syhelian's technology into forms that can draw on gestalt field power continues with about 50% of the armed forces converted. Additionally a new series of fighters and bombers are being developed that can transition repeatedly from void combat to atmospheric operations smoothly, which will drastically save on hangar space on the super carriers and thus allow for nearly twice as many craft.

Internal Affairs
Rioting continues as word of Impeachment or the Death of the First Minister. The slydavians view the Syhelians as ruthless beings who treat the world as nothing more the dirt on the ground. They demand most Syhelian presence leaving the world, and respect for the culture of the world.
Military Affairs
Most of the heads of the military wish to cooperate with the Syhelians in weapons development, and recommend less brutal tactics against protesters.

The Avax is Hacking

Since these aliens haven't even bothered to run the file and they have sent some bombers, Herkia decides to do something about this. He turns this spaceship around, decides to lose the fools by closing the door behind him, siphon their air and then try to avoid these bombs. A couple hit the side of the ship downing the weapon systems, the FTL, the thrusters and the life-support. With his last bits of energy he sends a signal to the Avax, "They are evil," he then liquefies.

Confederate Activity
The Syhelian Occupation Force(SOF because I'm lazy) begins to actively reward all pro-Syhelian sentiments on Slydavia and gives them preferential treatment for the New World protocol. In response to the rioters demands they rather smugly release a statement that if there were no riots then their military presence would be kept in orbit. The Slydavian government is told to either soothe civil unrest or be replaced by more competent beings. 

Work begins on tracing the Avax signals to their destination, with one Escort class vessel being tasked with this duty. Of course only being based on two transmissions such a task is difficult to say the least and will take some time. In the mean time, the Hyperion and Halycon are put on high alert for further incursions. 

As recent events have shown, the politics and power of the Confederacy is increasingly shifting into the hands of those nations that are actively participating in the final frontier of space. With the ultimatum being plain: Participate or fall behind and become weak. The remaining non-space faring member nations of the Confederacy begin pooling their resources together to create another fleet in order to exploit interstellar resources.

Internal Affairs
The First Minister releases a statement saying anyone caught protesting is to be shot on sight. With this, most rioters cease, not only due to the government's demands, but due to another very important week in Slydavian Cultural history: čaká. Awaiting. As the rioting ceases to a full blown stop, churches are flooded as preparations for deň mieru. Peace Day: The day the brutal civil war ceased with the Dyadoras Treaty. The First Minister warns the Syhelians not piss the people off.

Military Affairs
The military upgrades the few anti aircraft defenses they have. 72mm rocket battalions are replacing 40mm batteries. The first Minister also says they are not trying to destroy Syhelian ships, it is to boost the economy. Speaking of the economy, Black clothing (as worn in solidarity for all who died in the Civil War) helps rise the economic prosperity.

The ambassador shakes his head enthusiastically, showing this as a sign of understanding and concurrence. He seems delighted about the question of language, turning around him to be given a tablet. He eagerly hands the tablet over which hosts the short and simple history and language of the Bretherian Empire along with the language. After starting to look through the computer given to him, the ambassador frowns a bit, saying, "Much fighting." A skeptical look, "We no war. Vote work better." He seems to be referring to his nation, almost chastising the alien's, not caring too much about whether or not offense will be taken.

The ambassador, after the alien had stated that humans were warmongers, tried to explain all the fightings we had.


"You see, we used to be a separated people, fighting against ourselves for our interests, but today we have united. We are one single nation. A peaceful nation."

The Pessos nods slowly but everyone in the room couldn't help but feel it left a bad taste in the mouth of the ambassador. Following this, he smiles and gestures towards the inner sanctum of the ship. "No stand! Now sit."

In the following deliberations, the Empire of Brether proposed the following; delegates sent to each nation, exchanging of unique goods and technology, and the construction of a joint space base somewhere in between the two empires where a neutral ground can be found for further dealings.
The ambassador also warns the aliens that because Brether lacks any leaders, when one is talking and making dealings to the nation, they are to talk to the people and not a single person.

Following this list, the Pessos asks if the alien has anymore suggestions for the future state of relations between the two nations.

I just need to point out that making 4,000 ships at the current level of technology everyone has, which is "Just developed FTL", is OP and impossible unless you've been in space for centuries(which you haven't been) within your own solar system and have only just developed FTL. And even then, the huge majority of those pre-FTL ships would likely be civilian mining, science, or exploration ships instead of military. The only exception, which again doesn't apply to the Avax, is if your race has colonized multiple planets and is locked in an interplanetary war where military ships and spaceship production are the #1 priority.

I just need to point out that making 4,000 ships at the current level of technology everyone has, which is "Just developed FTL", is OP and impossible unless you've been in space for centuries(which you haven't been) within your own solar system and have only just developed FTL. And even then, the huge majority of those pre-FTL ships would likely be civilian mining, science, or exploration ships instead of military. The only exception, which again doesn't apply to the Avax, is if your race has colonized multiple planets and is locked in an interplanetary war where military ships and spaceship production are the #1 priority.

Thanks for pointing that out. I didn't see it. Anyways, I'm invalidating that, since building 4k ships isn't plausible in early FTL space eras.

Even for medium-sized ships, 400 is still a bit much. Everyone in this noob RP is just getting off the ground or thereabouts. 40 is within the range of 10 posts, 60 if you've got good industry.
