"Unreasonable" Why is it unreasonable that we originated from the Role playing forums and don't do what is in the name at least 70% of the time? Is it unreasonable that I can't voice my concerns? If it is, then why isn't the Suggestions board removed, since by that definition all suggestions are unreasonable? If you want a complete community and board makeover, I'd suggest making your own. Gather your own group of followers who are nearly as pitiful as you, and get the hell out of here. Yes, you're able to voice your concerns, but that goes both ways. Other people can voice their opposition to your filthy suggestions just as well. I have zero charisma to form a cult. I think you know that. I'm not saying other people can't voice opposition, but any sort of "opposition" (Other than Ilama's short explanation of why people don't RP anymore) has consisted of you throwing my suggestion out the window with no real evidence against my claims. Say it again: "I don't roleplay at all and therfore I'm apart of the problem LALALALLALLALALA" And go on through your day. If my suggestion/concern is filthy, ignore it. Or hell, at least put up a good, factual argument as to why my idea is ineffective.

im not sure what the point of this thread was
this isnt a roleplaying board anymore, its just an offtopic forum where you can post your deepest darkest inner thoughts without being persecuted by the fitlhy pigs of the real world

I put it best awhile ago, when I was such a smarter lad.
"The thing about this is that this community never seems to learn. Soardlo made several attempts to make his utopia outside of Roblox, where he would escape the "oppressive mods" and all the other stupid crap. People joined his forums, and it was all nice up until week three or four when people just quit and never came back. They never succeeded. Ever. Here we are again, like a broken record, but with proboards rather than sounds or speech. It all looks too good on paper, far too good, and we buy it, we think it might change, that it may be different, but what they don't seem to realize is that the problem lays in the people, not the site, not the admins."
"I and others find it safe to assume a lot of the people here haven't even roleplayed at all, yet, and don't plan on doing it anytime soon. With the selection of people who actually migrated to this site, there is literally no reason to post a roleplay here over roblox. In Roblox, there's a larger variety of interests, more possible joiners, and less people who only post here because of OOC. There's just no merit to it, and after all, I'm only here for the roleplaying, and that simply won't work here."
Literally everything I said so long ago is coming back to haunt me, except for the yellow text, which I've highlighted to show that it's not true at the moment, but I have faith it'll be better in time. It's really scary, at may not be to anyone else but it's almost on a personal level to me that I'm not having much fun here at all. The more serious roleplayers have left. I'm seriously wondering why I'm still here. It's so tragic, it really is. I can't jump ship and make a new site, it's going to die and like what I said above, nothing will ever change unless anyone, at least one person, takes my advice to heart. I really can't jump to RPN, I really can't.
I can't because I have a personal connection to this community. Up until, say a year ago, I have almost never met anyone in the real world with my interests. Laugh all you want, but it's true. I stumbled upon this community, what, two years ago? It was sort of nirvana, a never ending high to finally interact with people who share my interests. Everyone here I can relate to (somewhat). I feel like I have a personal connection to this community here. I may be delusional, whacked in the head, but I feel like I wanted to bring something up that's important to me. That's why I made this thread, to see if anyone can hear the echoes bouncing off the walls. It's almost sort of depressing to see how fractured, depressing, and downright ugly this community has split. Nobody wants to do anything productive anymore. It kind of saddens me. This thread, based on nearly more than half of all the responses, shows that 90% of the community doesn't care anymore. About any sort of change.
So take what I've said in two ways. One is that I'm a delusional, illogical bum complaining about something that doesn't even have relevance anymore, or the other route, someone who is concerned and wants to be the change in this community. But like what Ilama said first page, it's just too easy to pick the former over the latter. It's easier to pretend a problem doesn't exist, a symptom if you will. It's so much easier to turn a blind eye to the individual than a group.
Good night everyone, rest well. I'm done trying to reform, change, or at least mend this community. It doesn't matter anymore. May as well get rid of the suggestions and RP boards, because realistically, OOC is all that matters anymore. I'll still host and post for the RPs I'm currently in, this isn't a bailing out of BC post. It's a disappointment post, really. I'm not angry, I'm simply disappointed and frustrated that we can't do more. Again, I have zero ill will against anyone.

Mighty fine speech there, mighty fine speech if I do say so myself. I can't say whether I agree or disagree with it, but I know when someone puts their heart into writing.

Rock since it's 5am and I'm somehow still awake I'm going to refute your main point.
"there is literally no reason to post a roleplay here over roblox. In Roblox, there's a larger variety of interests, more possible joiners, and less people who only post here because of OOC."
If you may remember the one of the main reasons why this sub-forum died the first time is simple enough, we came to escape crazy mods, censors and spam but Timpookie was both acting crazy, censoring people and let's be honest aside from banning someone whenever they mentioned Singapore he wasn't doing much moderating let alone preventing spam.
But then something incredible happened, something amazing. Roblox got worse, it's censor became dogshit, its mods didn't even seem aware the forums existed and spam was fucking constant so we came back and loe and behold we got decent mods, no censors and no spam.
Give me a reason why we should go back to roblox, we really shouldn't. Why?
1. I always complained about no newbies showing up, since while before older roleplayers tended to fuck off after a while we sorta became a community. People are dating, meeting up irl and talking about their lifes, back in 2010-2012 it was rare to know the average role players first name nowadays all you need to do is ask nicely and they'll tell you. What is the effect of this? We were so entrenched in roblox that no one new could really break in, now that isn't problem let the newfags do their thing.
2. We're a social community AND a roleplay community. Honestly we stopped solely being a role playing community over a year ago at least, tying back into the old fags fucking off thing, the same thing is happening right now but there's a problem. We actually like and know each other now thus we don't want to leave the community even though we don't feel like roleplaying these days. While a few years ago when you fucked off there was maybe one person maximum worth keeping in touch with, nowadays it's easier to stay in the community but just not write as much as you used to.
3. We can control bannanachair, we cannot control Roblox.
Let me repeat that because this is my most important point.
We can control bannanachair, we cannot control roblox.
Allow me to make a situation you might see on either website.
Roblox Random Fag: " DAANKK MEMEMES LILOOLOO." Proceeds to make five more threads spamming this
Best case Scenario: Someone contacts a moderator about the spammer and you see something done about it within 30 minutes. (You know how rare this is)
Worst Case Secnario: Nothing happens and the dude spams the forum for rest of the day (pretty fucking likely)
Bannanachair
Random Fag: MEMEMEMEMEMEMS
Best case scenario: He's banned
Worst Case Scenario: For some strange reason all seven of our admins and moderators fucked off and just let the dude spam the website (not going to happen)
As you can see this is truly helpful.
Solutions:
1. Migrate to one of the many active roleplay sites just begging for members
2. Invite your friends and recruit people to this site so we get some new blood
3. Shut the fuck up and stop complaining
I hope this has been helpful

It's all well and good to complain about BC but Roblox was never really the forum-haven that some make it out to be. Beyond this community that is. The thing is people have always complained about the amount of OCC, on Roblox it made sense because of forum space (one of its many shortcomings) though here we need to accept it. It's not because we don't care about Roleplay that we OCC more. It's because we can and because we want to. There's no problem in us doing so as there is no problem in us not RPing as much.

You based your response to the second quoted paragraph, vam, and nothing else I said. I even highlighted the part of the text to show that it wasn't true. There's virtually zero reason to go back to Roblox, and again, what I said in the second quoted paragraph was a long time ago, about a year ago, when there was more rping going on over there than over here. But both the first and second quoted paragraphs are true, they ring as true as thd Liberty Bell, whether you hear the echos or not.
I can't make another community. As I said before, it's going to die out very quickly. How many splinter BC groups have we made? How many of them are kicking today? They're not doing their purpose. Everyone likes it here because whether Tim did it intentionally or unintentionally, it catered to people who don't want to actually do anything productive.
Vam, I understand none of us have any control over Roblox, we obviously have none. But here, there's an actual suggestion box. I, or rather we, can change or community, for better or for worse. I voiced my concern, and even though one person out of 20 or so liked it, that leaves me knowing I did something right. It makes me feel proud. I don't feel proud often.
For a long time I've had zero confidence in anything I did. But these past few weeks, maybe years, it's picking up. But this whole thing isn't about me. Or maybe it is, I don't know. My suggestion is to make what we migrated from mean something. I carry the fact I exited the Roleplaying Forums like a badge of honor.
Because you know what? I'm proud to be a roleplayers and a member of this community. No matter how wacky or strange it is, I'm proud to be with all of you.

Is this shit honestly still going? Good lord
You seem to be forgetting that even back on roblox it was fucking 80% OOC and 20% actual RPing. Absolutely nothing has changed. We're still the same assholes with the same problems that procrastinate and avoid joining RPs so we can talk about that one time we shagged a dog in a pointless OOC thread. A new coat of paint doesn't fix the rust beneath it, rocky boy.

Well it's more like 2% RP and 98% OOC now but you've made your point.
