I find it heavily ironic we migrated from a forum because of both censorship and a lack of admins that took care of spam, but when we got the opposite (Ie: admins and zero, if not very little censorship), the opposite of roleplaying and storytelling evolving into a mega colossal supernova of fun happened. Do the math, all ooc boards have more threads and posts combined than any roleplay board, or all roleplay boards combined. That alone disappoints me, and should disappoint you. If we want to revitalize our community, we need to: 1. Get rid of most, if not all ooc boards. If we want to talk about life, go on Facebook or Twitter.
2. Move the RP boards where the OOC boards are currently. This might not seem very productive, but when you first look at the site, it helps our image as a roleplaying community if we place priority of roleplaying over oocing.
3. Offer some sort of reward for roleplaying, or incentive at least. This is probably the one thing I'm not sure how we can execute, but I have faith you're all talented people that can offer suggestions.
But LOL, screw me, right?

It's not your business to dictate what people should and shouldn't post on this site. If you don't like OoC, don't bother looking at the OoC boards. Don't tell someone to get rid of them just because you don't like them.

How about maybe it is, and I have the somewhat questionable right to voice my concerns?

Then fucking create role-plays you little faggot. Don't complain about a problem you can help fix but don't even try to help fix

And that this is the suggestion box, and therefore a suggestion you can ignore?

the reason there are more ooc threads/posts than all rp posts combined is because it's much easier to do a one sentence reply talking to someone than writing an actually decent rp post. you're always going to have more ooc posts than rp posts because
1. it takes less effort 2. it's usually apart of a conversation, so posts wrack up 3. it's a universal interest; not everybody likes every rp thread.

I have separate boards for OOC than for roleplaying because that way RPs won't get lost in a sea of OOC. Because I really, really like categories and subcategories and subsubcategories and subsubsubcategories and so forth I made distinctions between various OOC boards to account for most of what I saw on ROBLOX at the time I made this, and did the same for the roleplaying board. The reason that the roleplaying boards are at the bottom is to honour our past - the roleplaying boards were at the bottom of ROBLOX, so they are here too.

While I agree that there should be an emphasis on roleplaying, deleting the OOC boards should not happen. That's a stupid idea.

My biggest question is this:
If we were to, as you suggest, take away the OOC boards, where will the OOCs go?
And that sounds weird but I ask because no matter where you'll go and no matter what you do, you will have OOCs as well as RPs. They, sadly, go hand in hand with each other. By taking away the OOC boards, the OOCs will not go away, they'll move onto the role playing boards.
Now, of course, I do like the idea of moving the RP boards to the top and the OOC boards to the bottom, but that is a convenience thing, as I scroll through RPs before OOCs, and it's not even much of an issue worth noting as all I have to do is scroll down just a little bit.

If you want role playing migrate to role play nation or one of the many more active role play sites.

I honestly think as a community OCC has become just as important as roleplay. Yeah, we originated on a roleplay forum but that doesn't mean that talking outside of such threads should be ignored.

Which is the problem I think he's getting at. Some OOC and some roleplay would be completely fine (no doubt people would complain if only for the sake of having something to complain about, but that's a moot point and brings us back to talking in circles), but now it's essentially 99% OOC, and very few people RP. So I think emphasis is needed, but OOC is still very much an important part of the community.

I understand removing ooc completely is highly unrealistic, but some boards DO need to be rid of or be merged.

At this point I don't think this even deserves to be a roleplaying site.... Tell me how much you have been roleplaying or how many roleplay threads were made in relation to OOC threads?
Now, if there were 40% RP threads and 60% OOC threads it would be fine.... Not 20% of RP threads and 80% of OOC threads.
We might aswell remove roleplays since we're only using the OOC threads.

How about we stop whining and accept that this place and community will never live up to your unreasonable expectations?

How about we stop whining and accept that this place and community will never live up to your unreasonable expectations? "Unreasonable" Why is it unreasonable that we originated from the Role playing forums and don't do what is in the name at least 70% of the time? Is it unreasonable that I can't voice my concerns? If it is, then why isn't the Suggestions board removed, since by that definition all suggestions are unreasonable?

Gather your own group of followers who are nearly as pitiful as you, and get the hell out of here. Yes, you're able to voice your concerns, but that goes both ways. Other people can voice their opposition to your filthy suggestions just as well.
