Sharp Swords and Dull Minds

Why do those not destined for power seem to crave it the most? While Vena the largest city in all of Ario has been contested for years usually the people fighting for it are the same few nobles arguing about which one of them is coolest, but as of late a new pretender has joined their ranks; a man in his 30's who's known as Harold the Victor, a former slave who led a revolt in his master and is now claiming he's a true noble. While this would be reason enough to have him killed anyway, he crossed a thousand lines by invading one of the many rulers of the city.

By the end of the week he should be dead, and you shall be his reaper.

The city of Vena is large and beautiful. Tall gardens hang along buildings, boats sail in and out of the harbor offering foreign goods and it's also home to AoA HQ.

You find yourself walking out of the headquarters through a secret exit that leads to a ghetto outside of the city major, in front of you are many peasants and beggars most of which are aware of who you are and salute you as you walk by.

So what will you do first

You are armed with a small vial of poison, a steel longsword and three throwing knifes.

[Patriot]

I salute back to the peasants, and i strap my sword to my hip. I leave the area in search for where he lives. I also ask around for his schedule.

One of the merchants answers your call, it's a short downy man wearing a white vest with some *fake* jewels on it. He smiles at you.

"I heard he lives in the palace he took over; east side of town but he's not letting anyone in. I think he's a bit scared."

[Patriot]

"Thank you" I walk east towards the palace

[vammy]

The east side of town was a craftsman district, you see the ruins of old blacksmith forges in the distance. You also see a large group of unfriendly looking warriors around the area, a telling sight.

Outside of the area you see quite a few people, some of them look like warriors and some look like peasants. They appear to be protesting something.

[Patriot]

I hide my sword within my jacket, and put a knife in between my thumb and pinkie, hiding it, but ready to use. I try and read a sign to see what the protest is about.

[vammy]

They're a group of blacksmiths pissed off, they're demanding entrance into the eastern district most of them seem on the younger side mostly women and children actually perhaps the men didn't make it.

The guards Harold has set up notices them but pretends they aren't there; as long they don't get to close to the gate.

[Patriot]

When a small crowd rushes to the gates and distracts the guards, I try my best at scaling the ledges into the palace.

[vammy]

( I rolled a dice and you got a 1, have fun)

One of the protesters turns out to be a peasant from the headquarters, he recognizes and you walks over sign still in hand.

" Assassin Pharaoh! I need you help us."

He said this a bit too loud and suddenly others heard him.

[Patriot]

I'd bolt, running into the crowd. I'd try my best to hide in it, and move away from the guards when they walked through.

[vammy]

The guards shout out the words "Asassins! Search the area." Luckily for you they don't seem to notice you in the crowd. While they look the gates are competely unguarded, with the right amount of maneuvering you could sneak it.

[Patriot]

I'd shuffle inch by inch into the gate, then sneak on the wall to the main palace.

[vammy]

The Palace has the words "Manor Le Heriz" in front of it, while their are a few people guarding the palace itself they don't seem to notice you scaling the wall, soon you should be able to get in.

The Palace is a large stone building with black spots of powder all over it, it's at least three stories.

[Patriot]

I reach the walls of the palace, and I scale the ledges into the second story.

You find yourself at a window looking into a brightly lit room full of a few chefs and a lot of hungry warriors, it smells of toasted bread and wildrice, mushroom soup. No one seems to see you just yet
