The dome was colored black and red, black from the paint first used on it and red from the many battles to protect it. The top of the dome, the dome itself was made of pure gold.
That dome, this old building was truly of importance. Around it laid primitive tents, and around the tents were people struggling to get into the dome. Shivering and covered in white snow during a colder than usual winter, standing in line waiting for the soldiers at the doors to tell them to go inside. After some amount of time the soldiers are given their cue and escort everyone to their seats, and while the dome was grand looking from the outside it was even grander inside. On both sides the commoners were flanked by carpeted stairs leading to unknown rooms, and in front of them was a stage with three men standing on it and above those men were glass paintings, showing monsters and beasts unrecognizable. There were many like it around town, but the ones in the dome just seemed, newer.
Once everyone was escorted to their seats, well over a few thousand people in one tiny room all wondering for what reason were they suppose to be here. Two of the three men on stage fell back, and the eldest of them cleared his throat before speaking.
"300 years ago my ancestor did something great, he invaded the island of Larna and saved us all from the demons. Didn't he?"
Their were murmurs in the crowd, some of them nodded in agreement.
" Well as is taught to all young children, he sent the demons to extinction. Is this also correct?"
"Get on with it already!" Yelled out one particularly loud peasant.
" Of course, of course well there was a minor inaccuracy about that statement, and the two men behind me are going to explain why it's inaccurate."
They both shook their heads.
"No your the leader, you got this." One of them said
" As leader I command you two to explain the situation." The man told them
The two men sighed and walked up onto the stage taking where the old man was before.
" Well uh I hope you all are having a good morning, if you don't recall I am Pera."
" And I'm Lucia!" His friend shouted out.
" Yes indeed you are, well as you may know we built a boat."
" A great boat." Exclaimed Lucia
" Yes it was great, our goal was to sail all the way to the western continent and then find out some interesting stuff from them, but there was a problem. "
Pera began to slink away and cough.
"And my friend Lucia will tell you about the problem."
" I am?" Lucia asked
"You are." Pera responded
"Well the problem was, you guys told me our neighbors were Elven. One problem, no one had pointy ears! In fact when I asked them show me a magic trick they just burnt my ear off. I haven't been able to hear in days. I demand a new ear."
"Lucia, we meant the other problem not your ear problem." Said Pera
"Oh the demon problem, well it turns out all the elves were enslaved by these big red guys." Lucia explained
" Demons!" Said the leader.
Suddenly there was a shift in the crowd, those who were talking shushed themselves and everyone's eyes stared at the stage.
" Demons? You just said they were extinct." Lucia pointed out
" You fool! That's the problem." The Leader took back the stage.
The crowd at this point began to talk about but this time about the demons.
"What are we supposed to do." One voice rose out of the others.
The leader shook his head and sighed, then he looked up at the crowd.
"Leave, we're going to leave Larna."
This only made the crowd madder, some people began to reach for the stage.
" We can't leave! We must fight them if they come." One of them yells.
" Well they're a wee bit scary." Said Lucia
"Just a wee bit, their king sat a throne made of elf bones." Confirmed Pera
"People, listen to Pera. These beasts aren't something we can just fight off like a pack of dogs." Said the leader
The crowd began to calm down and were told to go back to their seats, before the three men on stage all looked at each other from contempt.
"I mean could we fight them? You two are the ones who actually met the demons." Asked the leader
"I'm afraid not sir, I would never wish to admit to it but we must leave." Pera responded
"I want to fight them, I feel bad for the elves you know." Lucia said
" Fuck the elves, coming straight from the underground. A young nigga got it bad cause I'm brown."
