The Fifth Writing Contest - Prompt and Guidelines

Sometimes we listen to music, and it reminds us of something, or gives us ideas to write about. For this prompt, you are to listen to a song that inspires you to write, and draft a short story based upon that inspiration. I'm afraid I do have to limit it to songs with lyrics, as the lyrics themselves should be interwoven into the narrative. To clarify: the lyrics should be a part of your story. You don't need to include every single line in the song however, just two or three. There is no word minimum or maximum, though I would (personally) appreciate at least a paragraph. When posting your story, you should link/name the song that inspired the narrative, and highlight the parts of the story that are composed of the song's lyrics.

When writing your story, please abide by the rules of the forum. Submissions deemed inappropriate by the admins will likely be excluded from the final judging, or the thread will be deleted/locked. I will be the judge for this contest. This contest will end in two week's time, November 11th, at 12:00 pm, CST.

First Place: 1000 posts.
Second Place: 500 posts.
Third Place: 250 posts.
Participation Reward: 10 posts.
