It was a cold, frosty morning in Loyos while usually no one would be outside so early everyone had been told to come to the marketplace to witness a hanging.
Peasants huddle in between small shops, restaurants and nearby houses waiting for their king and executor to ride down a nearby hill.
" Why are we hanging him again?"
This time the king had brought his son along, the young prince Jorvik II named after his father.
"Blasphemy my son, the bastard claims to be a god, immortal but we'll see if he's so immortal with a noose around his neck." His father responded
His father, the squared jawed olive skinned man who ruled over all of Loyos was clearly heated about the matter.
" He's been nothing but trouble, we tried to starve him but one of the peasants must of been sneaking in food. If we let him live any longer all of Loyos will be a heresy!" The king said angrily
" And what will we do if his claim is true? " The son asked
" Lock him in the deepest tunnels of the prison and never let him see the sun again. I will not allow such foolery in my kingdom." The king commanded
The son nodded his head and handed his father a pot of tea.
" To keep warm, it's colder then a ice giant's tongue out here." The son said
The King poured out some tea and gave back to his son, the kettle shook as their carriage raced across each and every hill on the road to Loyos. Purebred horses bred for speed, only the best for the king and his son.
Soon they reached Loyos to the applause of many peasants dressed in robes, welcoming the royals as they rode to the town center in the marketplace, the carriage stopped near a dirtied up man standing on top of a large wooden crate.
The man head was bowed, with blood running long streaks of red in his blonde hair and wearing a standard brown prisoner uniform.
" Please stop I beg of you." The man begged
The king shook his head and smirked
"Now you will learn to never harm a Polisian's kingdom."
The king went in front of the crate and cleared his throat before speaking in a official tone.
"Here my citizens we see a terrible man, a horrible man. A man who claimed to be a god and now he stands in front of you. One of his ears cut off, his fingers smashed and his manhood removed."
The man began to scream for help, asking all of the peasants to save him.
"Oh hush! Despite such torture he refused to give up his claim, but today we will see if his claim is true."
The king ordered the hangman to prepared the noose, moving away from the crate and choosing to watch from a distance.
The hangman did as he was ordered.
" May the Heavens have mercy on you." The hangman said.
He kicked away the crate, and the man's body fell like a rock.
"May the ceremonies of the soul-" the hangman was interrupted by the loud sounds of screaming and crying.
"AAAAAAAAAAA!" Yelled the man
Everyone who witness this eyes grew wide and startled.
"Stop! Stooooop!" Yelled the man once more.
" How in the name of the old god's are you still alive?!" the hangman asked
" I am a god, I been telling you! " The man answered
The king shifted his eyes and sighed.
