(got make sure those sillies don't get any funny ideas.)
I promise the extra pay once the taxes get collected. I also remind them that they should remember the duty they're doing; if they were to be disobedient, it would mean the death of Brether.
Inform him that his current amount of land should do, unless he'd like to do co-ownerships with a few other farms instead of sole ownership; for now, we'll allow other farms to develop enough to where they're not tempted by being immediately bought out. Say that soon he'll be able to buy more land; for now it is a prevention of a monopoly, which could end up jeopardizing the economy.

---Koala---
Smart people are in low amounts as of late, due to a lack of schools or caring most people can barely read. Although you found two literate people who will be able to serve the state well. Due to all the recent buyings of land you have gotten a influx of wealth.
Food supplies are low at the moment but irrigation should change that for the better

Your talk of loyalty and death seem to motivate your army, hopefully they can defeat you well in the many battles to be seen.
He decides to relax on all the conquering and starts selling goods at a higher rate then any other merchant but due to him having so much land he soon gets rich.
Your people noticed that obsidian is insanely sharp, could make a amazing sword.
(Fun fact obsidian is the sharpest metal in the world, it's so sharp that just touching the blade of one will cut you and cause you to bleed.)

I allow the obsidian to be let into the public market and encourage blacksmiths to make spears and swords for the army. For the time being I do say that it is illegal to sell these weapons to other nations; wouldn't want to sell these great weapons to a tribe only for them to attack us.. HOWEVER, citizens are allowed and even encouraged to have their own weapons, especially these upcoming obsidian ones. Have my diplomats came back yet about the embassy requests?

----LNG----
Your neighbors to the west, yes the volcano people want to start a trade route and they want a response soon.
Your nation continues to do well; although your elite troops still refuse to listen to you. In fact some of them are trying to leave the hex.
---llama----
Your nation is doing notably well, at this rate you shouldn't have much any problems expanding or getting richer. With access to powerful weapons and a united realm things seem to be looking up.
Due to this all wealth is growing at double the speed, perhaps you should build some buildings

Get our literate people to set up a school, although it should be monitored by soldiers so that nothing too heretical against THE STATE is put in place. Until the Port is built just work on general infrastructure like irrigation, granaries, roads, and some outposts on the outskirts to serve as an early warning system against aggressors.

With this new trading partner, Rhatari, I send over a diplomat to set up an embassy to be able to effectively communicate with them. I propose a non-aggression pact for now and hint towards a defensive alliance. I'll also have the diplomat inform the nation about our obsidian weapons and if they would be interested in purchasing a shipment with them.
Great! I order the building permit of a city council for citizens to go in and voice their opinion. It will be both upper and lower class, but special invitation will be sent to the richest members, notably that farm owner. I also order a library and school to be set up a school where children of notable intellectual talent at birth are sent.. that is to say, you can't buy your way in.
How is the training and the defensive structures coming along?

(also, i should have asked this before ramping it into diplomacy; what all does it pertain to other than dealing with other players and NPC tribes?)

Question the man about his land of origin. Can we educate this guy to be more accustomed to our language and culture?
Furthermore, what resources are around, and what are our scientists up to?
Finally, send some diplomats out. Get some sweet trade deals and alliances.

How many people/soldiers do we have? Do we have cities or towns? What is the surrounding area in our Hex?
Start having our citizen's fish, and if we don't know the surrounding area send out troops into the wild to explore.

---LeBlunder--- I haven't made the full map yet but the Brether tribe is south of you, they control the gray volcano and all it provides. You have a large amount of obsidian, fish and sand. Truly the most important resources for any nation. Your scientist are looking into horses they heard they're powerful in war. Let's try to pimp out our horses with some great gear that our scientists know how to make, let's also have them try to make more powerful weapons of mass destruction with the obsidian. I'll also send a small unit of Ganderthaals east, west, and south of our tribe and have them bring back anything that's interesting.

There is a vote going on asking if a standing army is really needed at this time, as leader of this tribe you have final say on if the standing army will formed or not. People are happy and farming well, and your scientist seem to have died which is a problem. Your neighbors to the east the Brether Tribe are similar but you have heard rumors they're going to mine the volcano, some of your military leaders are suggesting you raid them afterwards for the rare resources. Aside from that some housing needs to be set up As a small tribe in the large, dangerous world that we are building a kingdom in, I believe firmly that a standing army is indeed necessary for our survival. If not early on, then it will certainly be useful later, when other places will not have formed their own armies up to par, while we will have a decent force. Eh, the scientist's death sounds slightly concerning. But the plan to raid the Brether Tribe once they've mined the volcano sounds fairly decent, so I think I'll go with that whenever they're ready to be plundered. We'll just kidnap some of their scientists while we're staging the invasion, no worries there. But if it's really a huge deal, then we will have to locate or train some more in order to ensure that we can survive to the best of our abilities. So while we're at it, let's go with that and set up some houses. Build them out of basic materials, because I have no idea how our possibly nonexistent economy is at this time. Might as well set up some sort of government system as well. But that can happen later. (OOC: Sorry, I couldn't find this RP so my response was sort of late.)

I'm here to critique because I'm a megafaggot and want to nitpick your faults to make myself feel better. First off, based off of the map, it's an archipelago, consisting of nine islands total, with two large ones and many other ones connected by some sort of bridge. Secondly, if there's a king, it'd be a kingdom. But since you said it was a tribe, the correct term would be a chieftain. You know I love you Vam, but like I said, I'm a megafaggot, and I'm making a sheet.
---Nation Sheet--- Tribe Name: The City-State of Kerkeidonia Leader Name: Kalïr Gratiano Coriolanus Special Troop: Kerkeidonian Mel Ad Asnr: The Mel Ad Asnr are only one-eighth of the Kerkeidonian population, picked one from every eighty children born in Kerkeidonia, the Mel Ad Asnr are taken into the Halcon Monastery to train with the Halconian Red Monks. The Mel Ad Asnr are trained to read, fight, and pray to the Oracles; they're basically modeled citizens. They are placed into the military at the peak age of twenty-one and often are enlisted as the personal guard of the Kalïr. They are taught in the way of the shadow and are often also used as assassins. They do not feel emotion, especially not pain. This is ensured by the monks and displayed with the showcase of one monk picking five men and stabbing them multiple times. Not once has this test proved the monks incorrect. ---Skills--- You have 18 points. Administration: 8 Diplomacy: 4 Military: 6

Eh this is why I don't join roleplays, or at least put little effort into my CSes Unless I know they've been keeping themselves alive for a while and are still going that way, they just fail because of either OP/Admin laziness or shit/inactive RPers
