From Tribes to Empires
The Island of Kazan for many years has been the forefront of human development, ever since the first humans ventured from the great Volcano they spread their ways across the island.
While for the longest time humans migrated from land to land, lately new discoveries have been made.
Things like farming, forts and ships expand possibilities to unheard amounts, suddenly kings began to rise among their peers.
You are one of these kings, leading a small tribe growing fast what you do from here is only limited by your desire and ambition.
----Useful Information----
You will start owning one hex in the south, it will be picked randomly and every single hex is unique .
There will be a level of realism, wars will be expensive, vassals will be annoying and no you can't get muskets in one day.
I'm adding something called special events, basically certain hexs will have unique things you can only do there. As well certain actions and just random stuff can cause events.
---Rules---
Don't metagame
Don't be a jerk
This isn't a rule but I would prefer that you have fun.

---Nation Sheet---
Kingdom name: Rhatari Dominate Leader name: Jaun Sevaran Rhatari Special Troop: Bloodsworn: A guardsman trained within the Apex Palace, born and bred to protect the Rhatari to their last breath. They are FREE, but take a very long time to train and there is a cap, once that cap is met no more Bloodsworn can be trained(optionally, a reserve of trainees can be built up so that should one or more Bloodsworn fall, new ones can be readied within a few days). In the offense vs. defense spectrum, they are more defense oriented, with solid shield formations and defensive tactics, but their training is extensive and on their own they will go full offense to hamper the enemy. Most importantly, however, they are supremely loyal and even if normal soldiers are leaving in droves, the Bloodsworn will remain until the Rhatari falls.
18 points:
Administration: 10. The Rhatari prize their administrative abilities. Diplomacy: 5. The Rhatari make efforts to negotiate and keep relations open with people abroad. Military: 3. The Rhatari army is not amazing, but it is trained in defensive tactics and keeps the Rhatari Dominate alive and thriving.

Kingdom Name: Toran Leader Name; Valerian Special Troop: Named the Black Wings, these soldiers are lightly armored but trained vigorously in speed and attack. Unfortunately, they are a little costly. Mainly, they make usage of close combat weapons and swords, things like that, and are not very good with long-ranged things. ----Skills----

Beautiful day isn't it? The sun is shining and the volcano hasn't erupted for a whole week. The scholars of your tribe even claim it nows safe to mine out the volcano, although I would suggest being careful as that shit tends to have lava coming out of it.
Your people currently aren't studying anything or really doing anything at all, no one even training the troops what will you do if those dirty northern tribes invade? Exactly someone should probably train those people.
Currently everyone is happy and doing well, should be a easy start.
----Lapizza----
There is a vote going on asking if a standing army is really needed at this time, as leader of this tribe you have final say on if the standing army will formed or not.
People are happy and farming well, and your scientist seem to have died which is a problem. Your neighbors to the east the Brether Tribe are similar but you have heard rumors they're going to mine the volcano, some of your military leaders are suggesting you raid them afterwards for the rare resources.
Aside from that some housing needs to be set up
---LNG---
Your bloodsworn are currently at a five limit, and they are a considerable force to be reckoned with. Although a minor problem they don't really see a reason to listen to you and may need to gain their respect in certain ways. Aside from that the military seems proud of itself.
Your farming is going and scientist don't seem to be focused on anything.
---Koala---
(Certain special events are private to whoever owns the hex or does the action, koala just got a private one with a unique decision I won't reveal yet, I'm just expanding on how events work.)
Your nation seems to be completely normal, although not being close to the volcano does change many of your actions. Mainly you lose the unique resources from that area but aside from that your all good.
Your nation is slightly unstable and your scientist seem to be non-existent
You currently have troops rised in case of battle
( This will start out a bit slow at the start but I promise things will get bigger as time goes on)

---Nation Sheet---
Kingdom Name: Toyalthin Leader Name: Randerlin Fuin
Special Troop: Ganderthaal - The elite of the Toyalthin military, they specialize in using their four-pronged shovel-like weapons called Sporks. They use their weapons with great speed and precision, they strike hard and quick. Only the best can be with the Ganderthaal. The rest of the army is equipped only with sharp shovel-like weapons, so once a soldier begins to show great proficiency, they are tested to join the Ganderthaal.

Northern tribe feared by all due to your powerful forces, while your army is large your land is not, perhaps some work can be done to change this.
You have a natural port in your hex, at a certain amount of turns it will give you free ships but you can make the port now at a discounted price.
Your people are farming and scientists are being smart

Kingdom Name: Aranice Leader Name; Cosma (Cosma is a title) Demirci Special Troop: Sukhrab: Highly trained marksmen, skilled snipers. They mostly use crossbows, and equipped with short, heavily curved blades as a last defense. Though they can still make for decent support on the offense, they clearly shine defensively.
----Skills----
You have 18 points
Administration: 7; A fairly skilled administration.
Diplomacy: 6; Good diplomacy is preferred to gain alliances with surrounding tribes and ensure trade can go through well.
Military: 5; A military that can hold its own on the offense, but is far better at defensively.

( I noticed most of you have a natural port that will give free ships after a certain point, so uh keep that mind.)
----Atlas----
Staring down the eastern mountains, your tribe has always been prepared for the worst, dealing with the strange weather and even stranger enemies you may face in your day to day life.
Lately a man from a distance land, who's not fluent in your language at all came to your tribe using his broken speech to ask if he could be your Steward (dude in charge of money and resources.)
Aside from that your tribe looks good, farming well and building up

I haven't made the full map yet but the Brether tribe is south of you, they control the gray volcano and all it provides.
You have a large amount of obsidian, fish and sand. Truly the most important resources for any nation.
Your scientist are looking into horses they heard they're powerful in war.
---Nova--- (Mah boi Karl)
Going further west is the powerful Alakari Union, a solid place to begin a naval force with its natural port and large reserves of salt, fish and limestone. Your traders are looking for poor tribes to take advantage of we speak.
Your nation has recently discovered the glory of flaming arrows
Farms and stuff look good

For now, the volcano should be left alone. I'm sure that if it proves to be dormant for the coming months then it may be fine to mine.
Request that some of the diplomats send out to try and find someone to trade with. What's the point of having quite diplomacy if you can't take advantage of it? Are there any candidates for training the troops? Perhaps a veteran of the Keepers of Liberty?
Excellent. Send a decree to everyone urging them to work to better the nation.

One of your veteran can be promoted to general of the armies, currently your levies seem to be mostly made of spearman and other Keepers.
To the north of you is the Toyalkiln
as well you border the Thatori and Toran tribes, they both are around the same strength as you.
Your resources are basically only obsidian and ash, but the volcano is a source of rare resources.
Your people want to help, but don't know how to help the nation. Maybe some advice is needed

(Responding to Koala'd special event)
----Koala----
Your tribe has made its choice and your people are annoyed by the constant chnsges but seem to not be willing to discuss their issues with the army. The army seems to be keeping any revolts down. Your tribe has a large amount of wealth and will have boats in the next five turns.
Aside from that people are starting to get used to the area

Then let us have the most reasonable of the vets become the primary general and thus trainer of our humble military. Hmm.. let us look into seeing what all the obsidian could be used for, whether it be heads for spears and arrows, forts, or maybe an effective building material, farming materials, or perhaps even pottery. I'll send a diplomat to each of the bordering nations, proposing an embassy. If they are outright hostile, try and get a handle on their military strength and possible national weaknesses.
Decree to the citizens to trade freely among themselves, to farm and set up private businesses, as well as proper taxes are paid; a happy, liberty conscious population will love their country till the end.

You notice almost a instant change in your army, the formerly undisciplined peasant army was beginning to actually become a decent fighting force, as well your scientist will look into obsidian and its many uses. Hopefully you can a good use for it.
Although the general said you should try making a small wall made of the stone which could be useful.
Your diplomats hear rumors that the tribe north of you wants to raid you for your wealth. You are still waiting on your trade requests
Your citizens seem happy with this and went out to discover new resources, finding coal in the mountains which will become yours after taxes are paid.

Upon this news, I order the training camp to be set up towards the north so the troops can be easily moved towards there. I set up a government-sponsored job for citizens to build a stone wall around the city and a smaller one to the north to be used as a defensive position. We seek out the small amount of currently unemployed to give them hope and a fighting chance in this competitive economy. Scouts are sent to the north in order to watch out for possible invaders. They are to be as discreet as possible and make sure to not be found. The training Keepers there are to be alerted if we see an advance.

That should scare off those silly northerners. Always trying to raid you when they could be good little bandits and trying trading instead. Whatever it's not they'll learn. Your army is on constant look out although due to the increased workload they're now asking for more pay in return.
One of your citizens is wondering just how much land he can own; because as of lately he's been taking over farms inside your sole hex

Since we have all this new land, allow citizens to claim it in order to shut them up. Free stuff always shuts up discontented citizens. Also allow them to form groups specific to their grievances and talk about it with the army. Once they shut up, allow the Zealots to begin working on a system of irrigation for use by all farmers. In the meantime find some suitably smart people to serve THE STATE as scientists.
