Okay, nope. I give up. Nobody is helping me with any of my issues and the game came broken for some stupid reason. Why did I pay five dollars for a nasty, stupid, insanely overrated buggy pile of crap? I didn't even do anything and it just doesn't let me play, or send messages, or join a lobby, or create a party, or sometimes even freaking enter the client. Oh my god, why does this even happen?

Yo, just use Mafia, it's browser based, it's extremely similar, it just doesn't have any graphics or that. epicmafia.com/home#/welcomeMight've changed a bit, haven't been on in about a year or so. |

Steam or not shouldn't affect much about the actual workings of the site.
Some people just can't run it well, be it a slow internet, an old computer, or something else. If you look at some of the steam reviews, it's not uncommon to see a person complaining that tos doesn't quite work for them.

I'm pretty sure it says somewhere on tos that Town of Salem was actually at least partly based off of Mafia.
Haven't played it myself.
