NADREOS IKLETS The Rusty Axe
The tavern is strangely quiet as the dark-skinned, long-haired man named Nadreos entered the room. An ex-bandit, now nomadic merchant, he'd managed to keep his way out of fights for a few years now. He's got 450 coins on him, neatly concealed in a small sack on his belt. Like most people who travel for a living, a weapon rests around his waist. It's a standard short sword. It hasn't seen much use since he bought it, but it does the job good enough.
A burly Nordic man with a dark blue tunic and a long, light red beard glares at the foreigner when he enters. Most people up here are pale, and the population is quite homogeneous when it comes to skin color and culture. Not to mention there is a long line of bad blood between the Nords and Sarranids. The man mentioned is the bartender of the place, called the "Rusty Axe". Typical.
A man like Nadreos would be more welcome in the southern territories, and unnoticeable among the melting bowl of Swadian merchant crowds.
While the bartender takes an immediate dislike to Nadreos, a scrawny, young looking Nord pays him no mind as he enters, instead focusing on an empty shot glass. There's a tanned man sitting at another table, playing a card game with a woman with a ponytail. The two of them look like mercenaries.
Other than that, there's very little hustle and bustle in the Rusty Axe, which is unusual considering all of the other tavern's Nadreos had visited were full of patrons.
Perhaps you just caught them on a rough day.

I ignore them, it's okay if they don't know of the greatness of Nadreos, slayer of men and pleaser of women. All I wanted after all is a place to chill and some liquor to calm me. I'll walk up to the bartender and ask for whatever is cheapest, just something for my belly.
Afterwards sit next to the scrawny nord; he looks like he could use some company.

The bartender of the Rusty Axe doesn't move to get a drink when you sit down. There seems to be something on his mind, but it's like he's looking for a proper excuse to say it.
The young man raises his head and looks at you wearily, deep circles under his eyes and frown etched into his face. He fakes a small smile and puts his head back on the table, sighing.
Meanwhile, the mercenary man curses under his breath as the woman celebrates. "Again?" The man nods and they begin resetting card positions. It's only when you sit down you notice the bartender still eyeing you menacingly.

This bartender is getting on my nerves, dude giving me them weird ass eyes and not even talking. While I'm curious about this dude lemme have a word with this bartender. " Ay buddy I said I wanted a drink! Am I going to get one or is this tavern now used for ballet classes?"
That should get his attention

The bartender practically explodes into words.
"Yeah that's right we don't want your kind 'round here you talk 'bout me bar like that i oughta punch you right in the you rude ballet classes why i oughta-"
The scrawny man next to you raises his head and says "Shut up, then!" His voice is not particularly loud, but it sounds so exhausted it'd make anyone hesitate. The bartender stops his shouting but doesn't move to get you a drink.
The young man looks at you. "People on edge around here. I reckon you know why, what with all the killings." He frowns a deep frown and looks down at his glass again.

I shut up for a few seconds and go back to the smaller less asshole-ish nord.
"Well as you heard from the bartender I'm not from here; could you tell me about the killings? I need to be on the look out for dangerous figures."
I swear I didn't were anything about any killings, if I knew that I probably wouldn't called the bartender out, okay I would of but I would of felt bad about it.

The young man eyes you wearily.
"Yeah, the uh...killin's. People don't come out no more." He gestures to the empty tavern. "People just been croppin' up dead. No possession stolen. Just a single knife wound." His voice cracks.
The bartender pipes up again. "I know know it be one of YEW foreigners! No Nord do somethin' so heinous!"
The two mercenaries continue their card game.
"Not only that, but with all the people scared, criminals be comin' out of the wood work. We got a mad man killin' people and ne'er-do-goods roamin' the streets. It's a miracle yew weren't confronted on the way into town."

" I see. I'll be sure to be careful when I leave."
I turn my attention to the bartender
" Now listen here, I didn't do anything to anyone here so you can calm your nerves and get me a drink. Because if any killers comes up to I, Nadreos they'll be lucky not to be dead, black and blue by the time I'm finished with them: If anything you should be happy I'm giving your lousy establishment any damn service while the killers out there. Now once again I want me a drink."
I swear to the gods, nords are more hardheaded then a armadillo

"Who the 'ell do you think you are, talkin' to me like that? Get outta here!" He shoos you away. The young nord throws down his drink and stands up to leave.
"Thanks, barkeep." He says. He walks out the door and pushes it extra far so you have to time to catch it on the way out if you leave.

Fine fine I'll leave, I can't deal with people who disrespect the great Nadreos. I'll probably just leave town and go somewhere where everyone isn't so shook about some killer. What's the closest town around here?

Nadreos briefly passed by a town called Kwynn on the way into Sargoth. It's a small fishing village on an island that is connected to the mainland via two large wooden bridges. The young nord looks at Nadreos for a second before turning and walking away.

Before I go let me yell for the dude, he clearly could use a friend at the moment to have him out, and to get him away from all these killings cause that shit right there is crazy.
"Ay have you ever been to Kwynn?"

He stops again and turns around. "Yeah, I've passed through it before. Why?"

" Well you see I'm going to take a trip to the island, perhaps you can come along and get out of this place."
