I'm basically going to develop the story as it goes on, and I don't have a complete plan, so if you have ideas or if I contradict myself hair say something.
---------A Sense of Love--------
Love is the source of all change, not war or even divine beings could cause what love causes.
Love for your child could cause someone to work endlessly to take care of them
Love for your country cause someone to fight for it
And a Love of wealth can cause people to betray those they don't love.
A love of wealth caused people to discover the Spice Isles, powerful rulers wanted more land and more to rule, and thus they searched and searched until they found the isles.
And they loved it; they loved the taste of the sugarcane that came from the trees, the loved the stories and myths of the natives and they loved the beauty of the land.
Those explorers were told to return and invade the Isles, causing a rift from the friendship they built when they first came.
While it was a complicated conflict at the end of the day it was a stalemate, with the explorers taking a small part of the isles and the natives agreeing to let them stay.
Since then the two groups have interacted and have mostly acted peacefully aside from the rare skirmish.

Islander: A native of the spice isles, they make up about 88% of the people here. They're known to have dark skin and high pitched voices.
Malrians: The descendants of the explorers and immigrants from the continent who general have light skin but tend to vary.
Pearlian: A group of freckled and redheaded people who were recently mass exiled from the main continent and got refuge in the Isles.
Main Islands:
( These are the two biggest ones, the other ones are small enough to just be made up in your bio or whatever)
Koa: A small island where powerful Mystics train in their art, here young children and teens are often trained in the use of fire magic
The Obsidian Island: The largest island with a volcano in the middle, it's generally considered to the capital of all spice islands endeavors
Other stuff: All of the islands combined would be about the size of Great Britain, Ireland and Iceland so it's not a small area
