In the case of the latter, not supporting net neutrality is not supporting the government coming in and mucking up the internet. A.k.a keeping the government out of what they shouldn't be in, a pretty key libertarian principle . In terms of the TPP, I don't particularly care what side of political spectrum not supporting it falls on, but anything that gives corporations more power than governments is just asking for trouble. Net neutrality: "net neu·tral·i·ty noun the principle that Internet service providers should enable access to all content and applications regardless of the source, and without favoring or blocking particular products or websites." You bet I support the hell out of that. And I'd rather not let the corps fuck with it, thanks. I'm not talking about the concept of net neutrality, I'm talking about the international bill that is going under the name "net neutrality" The former is a good thing, the latter is a bad thing

Both the TPP and net neutrality fit in very nicely with Ayn Rand's worldview; you might want to rethink your political philosophy if you're against those two things. In the case of the latter, not supporting net neutrality is not supporting the government coming in and mucking up the internet. Oh, I thought you meant the net neutrality that Hyg was talking about that was about everything is equal on the interwebs. Also, if you're going to claim to be a member of the Libertarian party then that means that you believe that big business is the best thing ever and small government is even better; the TPP is the embodiment of that concept.

"Libertarianism (Latin: liber, "free") is a collection of political philosophies that uphold liberty. Libertarians seek to maximize autonomy and freedom of choice, emphasizing political freedom, voluntary association, and the primacy of individual judgment" I don't claim to be a part of the libertarian political party, I claim to be a libertarian. My world views fit very snugly into what is listed above, therefore I'd be hard pressed to say I'm anything else but

"I'm also not including Bernie, O'Malley, Cruz, Rubio, etc. because they lost in the primaries and dropped out of the presidential race and are not running as independents."

I'd think that everyone would be a libertarian by the definition that you provided. I'd like to point out that I haven't read either of those books but I have skimmed the wikipedia pages about them so I think I get the gist of how they go.

That way you know that your ideas are ideas that you want to stick with.
