The Metro City Constitution

Article One: Bill of Rights

1. Each person has the right to name themselves as a citizen of Metro City.
2. A citizen has the right to freedom of movement, expression and speech as long as that right is not used to spread hate.
3. You have the right to bare arms as long as it is within the legal documented standards.
4. You have the right to a free, fair trial which shall go on for no longer than one year.
5. You have the right to avoid torture and detainment used to cause humiliation and/or loss of dignity.
6. You have the right to an attorney if one cannot be afforded.
7. You have the right to marriage, whether that be to the same or opposite sex.
8. Each individual citizen is born equal with the same rights.
9. Every citizen has the right to life, freedom and security.
10. No person, whether citizen or not, shall be sold within slavery.
11. Thou shall be innocent until proven guilty.
12. You have the right to own property and possessions (as long as they meet legal standards).
13. You have the right to work within the Government of this city, and/or country, and the freedom to work wherever thou wants.
14. You have the right to forced education, whether school or college, until the age of 18.
15. You have the right to have a wage of ABOVE £13,500 per year.
16. You have the right to follow the basic laws of the nation ((UK/US Laws unless changed through the following constitution)).

Article Two: Legal Weapons & Standards

1. An illegal weapon is defined as a "weapon that could endanger human life, and/or, disrupt public peace."
2. A weapon shall be considered illegal if it has a caliber above .50 caliber.
3. A weapon, known as a "shotgun", shall not be allowed more than three bullets. One in the chamber and two in the magazine.
4. A weapon is not allowed to be set to "automatic".
5. A weapon which allows the owner to change the setting to "automatic" can contain no more than 18 rounds in the magazine.
6. No weapon is allowed a silencer.
7. No weapon is allowed a flash-hider.
8. Legal weapons are classed as "Semi-automatic" 'Rifles' and 'Pistols'.
9. No explosives or flares are allowed to be used without the proper documentation.

Article Three: Election & Representation

The Government shall be elected every three years ((three weeks)) and shall contain three Representatives and the Mayor. The Mayor is elected every ten years ((ten weeks)) and has the power to veto a proposed law if the law shall prohibit something which is seen as currently needed. When Martial Law is enacted upon the city then only the Mayor shall remain in the Government - the Representatives shall be replaced by Military members. Everybody in the Government has the right to draft, propose and vote upon a law.

Article Four: State-ran Departments & Organisations

1. Metro City Sheriffs Department,
2. Metro City Fire & Medical Department,
3. Metro City Immigration Office,
4. Metro City Representatives Office,
5. Metro City Automobile Rescue Service,
6. Metro City National Guard.

Let it hereby be known that to become a member within any of the above organisations you must apply.

Jacob sat up in his Vauxhall Insignia as he sped down the road heading towards his office in the City Hall. He was happy yet bored so he clicked the radio and listened to the classical music from the local radio station.
